I'm in the middle of wedding plan right now. FH is involved, as in he comes with me to appts. We definitely bounce ideas off each other, but I'm in the drivers seat for this one...

He was involved in the big things like the location, church, cake and caterer (because he got to taste test), but it was all me after that.
I'm sure the bride will let him out of it eventually. I thought I wanted my DH's opinion on a lot of things but then I realized it was easier to just do it.

100% involved. The only thing he didn't have a hand in was picking out my dress!!! I definitely wouldn't "click" with someone who forced me to take on everything by myself.

DH was actively involved - he would voice his opinions about colors, styles, set up, etc. We didn't always agree, but we would compromise.
He also saw all the dresses I was showing the girls and he pointed out the ones he liked best. His opinion mattered.

He was involved in everything - meaning I bounced all my ideas off of him, and he would agree or disagree.
The only thing he was in charge of completely was getting tuxes... and I helped with that too.

He was involved with picking major vendors with the exception of florists. I was responsible for details and all of those things that everyone says nobody notices or doesnt matter but still did anyway.

I ask because I'm going to be in a wedding next year and just found out that the groom is picking our BM dresses because the bride feels that he should be involved in every aspect of the wedding. That was odd to me...what does a man know about color schemes and matching? Or about dress cuts and fabrics?

U have got to be freaking kidding me!!!
My FH is pretty involved.. knows all the vendors and stuff liek that but he didnt even know what thebridemaid dresses looked like until I started having an issue with the store. (im stillhaving it by the way)
I guess to each thier oen but i have a feeling u are going to have to wear a bridemaid dress wih sleeves Em!

I would say 95%....Certain things like flowers (what flowers we had) he didn't care about. He came with me to every single vendor and we made most of the decisions together!

I would say 98% involved. He was only not involved for the decisions regarding the wedding gown and BM dresses.

I researched everything and narrowed it down and then we went to all vendor appointments together and decided together on who to hire. We chose our menu together and music and all that stuff, but the girly things- like gowns/hair/shoes/makeup he had nothing to do with
I gave him some "requirements" for the tux, but he chose himself- (checked with me once he chose) and then went with the guys himself

He was very involved but knew when to take the back seat like when it came to flowers & what not.
He did all the deals with the vendors & if it wasn't for him, we would have paid a lot more for everything. At the end of our wedding when our guests were saying goodbye & telling us how beautiful it was, DH was so sweet & told them I did it all.

It was his money that was going into it, so he wanted to have a say in a lot. but he would never ever ever think to ask about choosing the bm dresses. when it came to the hall, dj and the "big items" he had a lot of say, the flowers and dresses were on me.

We wound up with a great system actually.
I would narrow it down to 3 vendors and coordinate appointments. From there he would be pretty involved in the decision of which vendor to go with and signing checks 
DH had no participation or desire for that matter regarding the BM dresses. And even if he did want to offer an opinion I wouldn't have listened anyway

Other than my dress / shoes / etc., he was at every single meeting with all the vendors. He was great.
I did most of the legwork, but he was there every step of the way, even if just to say "Sure, that sounds good."
I have no complaints. He's a really good guy and was VERY good about the wedding planning.

I chose most things, then he APPROVED or DISAPPROVED.
He had no say in the BM dresses, flowers, or my attire. I did ask his opinion on my hair though.
