how many trick or treaters do you usually get??

just curious we bought ILs hosue from them this summer and we asked them, just to see how much candy we had to buy for today. they said they usually got about 100 kids!! the house is in a "lake community" in NJ... so its all nice small side roads, and the houses are pretty close together, so i guess its a "prime" trick or treating spot so excited to see the kids all dressed up!

we only get a few younger kids before it gets dark out.

It can vary greatly from year to year.

In our new house, last year, a lot but mostly very little kids in huge groups the majority between 3-5 pm.

This is our first year in our house so I guess I'll soon find out...There are a bunch of small kids on the block who I'm sure are going to look so cute....

Last year we got none! I think because they do a Pumpkin Crawl in our town, that's where all the kids go nowadays.

we usually get about 150 it'll be fun if i get to see them but i have to leave here by 5 to p/u dh from the airport at 6:15 and then we're heading to stony brook hospital to see my FIL. by the time i get home i'm going to miss most if not all of them.

This is the 3rd Halloween in our house & the last two years we got about 10! I bought a lot of candy, so I am hoping with the warmer weather we will get more...

usually about 50 or so. at my house growing up we got about 3 so 50 is really exciting for me!!!

HUNDREDS! We ran of out candy last year. I noticed that we are one of those neighborhoods that people drive too since our block was packed with cars. We live about 20 mintues from some pretty dangerous neighborhoods so it makes sense.

I just wish my DD wasn't sick for her first Halloween

I get all the kids whose parents drop their older kids off in my neighborhood

I wait until all the little kiddos come around and then it's lights out

It's pretty cool because a lot of the parents have tractors or large ATVs, so they hook up their trailers, decorate them with streamers, balloons and hay and drive the kids around the neighborhood:

none... our house is set way back and there is no sidewalk on our side of the street.

Not one in the 4 years I lived here. We live in the woods in a log cabin on a dead end street. I think the kids are too scared to come down...

Not many AT ALL.

The past 3-4 years we get anywhere from 1-4 doorbell rings on Halloween. It may be a group of 4 kids or just one.

About 4 - we live in a building with not too many younger kids.

I heard we get a lot so I bought a lot of candy.

People bring their kids to our neighborhood too supposedly. The houses are close together and they can cover a lot of ground before hitting a main road.

I hope a lot come or I'll have a lot of leftover candy - and if DH or I bring it to work we'll end up eating a good chunk of it.

We live in an apartment building so each year the moms set up a time schedule so their kids can knock on doors they know will be home.

Last year was our first year, we bought 5 bags of candy and it was gone in 45 minutes! We found out later from our neighbors that our neighborhood is were everyone from the town goes trick-or-treating.

This year DH bought 15 POUNDS of candy! He's a little excited about Halloween - I'm really curious to see waht happens tonight

We have gotten over 180 each year. Either I have run out of candy and either had to give some little snack bags of something else or shut the door. This year I will not run out of treats, since I bought 240 little bags of halloween pretzels.

I know that many of these kids do not even live in the area, but I guess it is a nice safe place to trick or treat so they come here.

IDK, this is our 1st year in our house so we'll see. I am taking DS trick or treating so I won't even be home.
