How Many Strollers...???

My SIL said I need to register for 3 strollers. A frame snap-n-go, a regular one and an umbrella one. Did otehr people register for 3? Do you need all 3?

Honestly I think that is a bit excessive and I think in MY circle people would think it is VERY greedy.

I have a 17 month old and have only used 1 stroller. I got the Graco Metrolite travel system and still use the stroller til this day.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

Yes, 3 here.

I registered for a snap n go for the infant car seat, a lightweight umbrella stroller (Maclaren) for quick trips and a Graco Metrolite for longer trips (more comfy for a child) and better storage for mommy!

All 3 were already bought off my registry. People don't have to buy anything they don't want to buy so it doesn't hurt to ask for what you want.

Same here. As my mom always says your registry is a wish list. I registered for and got all three. Snap and go frame for quicker errands when baby is an infant, regular travel system for everyday use, and umbrella stroller for quicker errands when he outgrows infant seat. I did not register for an expensive umbrella stroller - I'm hoping to have a 2nd baby close to the first and hope to need a double one to invest more in. We are on the go a lot so convenience is very important to us! Absolutely necessary? No. But also not excessive IMO.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

I bought the metrolite from Graco, it is similar to a travel system in that it accepts the baby car seat, but much lighter like a pack 'n go.

I did register for an umbrella stroller for when the baby is a little older.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

def get the snap & go, and a regular, but get a regular thats light. I never got an umbrella so I don't miss it. I did however get a jogger, so I do have 3! I don't really count the snap and go as one though.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

I only got 1 ths time around because the bugaboo can do what a carriage, stroller, snap and go and jogger can do.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

The snap and go is great! I had a regular stroller too and the umbrellas are eh. I only use mine if we are doing something quick because it is easy. I am tall and you have to bend down to push it and it hurts my back. I LOVED the snap and go though, so worth it.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

I think 3 is a bit much. I have 2, and one is mine & one is DHs. I am not a fan of umbrella strollers until they are toddlers and can support their legs abd backs properly by themselves. JMHO.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

I registered for only my travel system. Down the road if I need an umbrella stroller or a snap and go etc. I'll buy it myself. I didn't see the sense in registering for so many strollers........then I just have to store them somewhere. I'd rather get them when and if I need them.

Re: How Many Strollers...???

I had the snap n go--it was great for the beginning and only $50 so it was worth it

We have a Bugaboo for walks in our neighborhood--we live in the city so we use it often--if I live in LI I would not have gotten this

We keep the Maclaren in the car for trips to stores etc

So yes, we have 3 put we use them for all different purposes

Now I need a double strollerChat Icon Chat Icon

Re: How Many Strollers...???

I do have 3, but I only registered for one...in the beginning I planned on using my Peg Perego Aria for everything...I decided later that I wanted a snap and go also...once we were actually walking, etc. I realized that I needed something with better wheels, etc. so I bought the Maxi-Cosi Foray...we would have gotten a Maclaren for quick trips/traveling if I wasn't pregnant again and needed a double...I love all my strollers and would have bought them all again, but they totally aren't all necessary!

Re: How Many Strollers...???

When we did our registry for DS, we only got one stroller. A Graco Metrolite that his infant seat snapped into. As he got older, we added an umbrella stroller for DH's car and a jogging stroller so he could go running with me. I personally don't think you need 3 to start with.
