We don't have a house yet, but the ones we are looking at out of state are around 2500-3000 sq feet.

HaHa. My house is so small it's not even listed as a choiceChat Icon Chat Icon 750 sq. feet. Bought it as a starter home in hopes to build up or move. Then the market crashed and now we owe more than 100K that the house is worth. STUCK!!!!! It is a very cute 750sq ft but, still........

About 1860 square feet without the basement. If you count the finished living space in the basement, about 2250 square feet. I live in N. Bellmore.

It should be in your survey, and taxes, but to get a rough idea, just measure the dimensions of your house and multiply. If it's rectangular, it's very easy. Just go outside with a tape measure, and measure the front of the house, and the side, then multiply. If you have two stories, multiply that times 2.
If you have an odd-shaped house, separate it into individual rectangles, then add the footage from each rectangle together. It may not give the exact amount, but it will be relatively close.

Aha! Thanks. Dug out my papers since I was curious and had no idea... apparently it's 2338 sq ft. North shore mid suffolk.
