How many people did/will tou have at your shower?
Just curious. Im figuring out a guest list for mine, and its only 26 ppl, and thats if everyone comes, and includes 4 kids. Ughhh i have major family drama and dont talk to anyone anymore, so i just feel so depressed that I only am inviting 14 people from my side.

My list was about 25-30. I wanted to keep it just close family and friends.

Invited about 60 and will probably have about 50 including a few kids. That's just family and very close friends.

I had to guarantee 40 at the restaurant so there will be 40. Even if we have to take in some bums off the street

I wouldn't worry about numbers. Whether it's 10 or 100, it only matters if the people who matter the most to you and support you are there. If you had to eliminate some family drama from your life, then so be it and good for you. Enjoy the people who are still there for you and have a fabulous shower, big or small!

Don't feel bad, both DH and I have very small families so the guest list is pretty small as well (we're inviting 20). It's being held at a friend's house so I don't have to worry about guaranteeing a certain number of people or anything. As long as your nearest and dearest or there, the number of people doesn't matter

We invited about 25 and had about 20. We had a few not show because it was during the random Halloween storm and some came from far and couldn't travel in the snow and I was not at my shower since I was admitted to the hospital the day before. They still had a good time and I wouldn't have changed the amount of people invited. It was a nice size.

I am having 2 different showers for each side of our families. We are inviting around 35 for my side and 25 for his side.

I'm having about 60 I think. It's so hard because you don't want to hurt feelings but also don't want to live in a cardboard box from having literally everyone and their second cousin.

Same here.
OP, remember its about QUALITY not QUANTITY. Even if you only have 5 people there, those are the 5 that you want and who mean the most to you. You'll enjoy the day knowing only those who are truly happy and supportive of you are there to share in the joy of your upcoming baby.

It just hit me like a ton of bricks when I realized I'm inviting 2 friends and only 13 family members. I have a huge family and when I put it down on paper how few people are left in my life, it stung.

55 were invited. My step mom was "shocked" and tried to guilt me that "usually baby showers are for family and close friends."
Those ARE my family and close friends!

About 25-30, I thought it was a perfect mix from both sides. This was 8 years ago! I'm on my 3rd and will not have another shower or sprinkle.
