People have nerve these days ( Baby shower Guest)
My baby shower is not a surprise, but a lot of people don't know that I pretty much planned the whole shower.
Anyway, my husband invited a few women from his job, including his secretary. Well, today I received an email from his secretary on FB asking if she could bring her boyfriend with her to the shower. I was shocked that she even asked if she could bring a guest, neverless her boyfriend. I can understand if she wanted to bring a kid or baby. I asked my DH if he told her it wasn't a surprise and he said no, he really doesn't talk about it w/ her. So, if it was a surprise she would ruined that for me. 
I told my DH to write her back or talk to her about it at work, but now I feel she is going to be mad when he tells her NO, he can't come.
How would you approach this? I'm speechless.

let your husband talk to her and if she doesn't come, i wouldn't let it get to you.

Honestly.... Who cares if she is mad. It is RUDE of her to ask. It did not say "Jack and Jill".
Just tell your husband to let her know. That she shouldn't NOT have emailed you and no she may not bring a guest.
There is no explanation needed to be given her. If she decides she can not come because of it then so be it. No big loss.

Most showers are a surprise, so I would def make sure your husband says to her, hey thankgod my wife knew about her shower or you would of ruined it for her! Also its very rare to see men at a baby shower, so saying no to her isn't mean at all.

If you are having women only... explain to her that fact. Maybe she's new to it?
I had a good friend ask if she could bring her husband. I told her that while I liked him, he would feel uncomfortable as even DH would not be there. She just never went to a baby shower before!

She's probably a young girl who's never been to a shower, except with her mom or something. And she probably thinks she won't know anyone so she wants a buffer. I agree that its rude, but let's just give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she just doesn't know any better. Either way, don't let it upset you. She needs to learn that its rude to ask something like that. Let DH fill her in

Yeah, I wouldnt sweat it if she's m
ad. She was rude to ask. Explain that it's women only at the shower. If she doesn't want to come, oh well!

Maybe she doesn't drive? I don't know, but even then he should plan to hang out somewhere nearby, not attend the shower.
