How many IUIs did you do before IVF?

I chose to do 3 IUIs. While it can work after 3 (I know people who are pregnant from their 4th and 6th) it was hard for me personally to wrap my head around continuing with the chances of success decreasing after the 3rd or 4th IUI. So when my third IUI was a BFN I moved onto IVF. I am very happy with my decision.....although it is a hard road. If your only reason is the $10k max, I thought the poster who paid out of pocket for a few more IUIs while saving the insurance money for IVF was smart.

How many IUIs did you do before IVF?

Well we were male factor, we did 2 IUI cycles (one cycle was back to back IUI's). The post-wash samples were awful and we were paying OOP so we decided to spend our money where our chances were going to go way up. We did IVF with ICSI and got pregnant with DS. :)

We did 5 IUI's (1 natural, 2 clomid, 2 injections) before moving to IVF. We had unexplained IF. IVF worked first shot! I regret wasting time with IUI's. They don't have a very good success rate.

Four IUIs, then moved on. First IVF and FET ended in pregnancy but M/C. Third time we changed doctors, protocol and we had our boys

0- we jumped straight to IVF because I wasn't a good candidate for an IUI. The fact that I was 25, my doctor also didn't want me to stim and them become octomom so we decided to go more of a "regulated" road...
