Re: how long will you wait?
We waited until Jack turned one and got pregnant a few months later. Baby #2 is due Oct 22, which happens to be the same day Jack was due. He was born on the 19th. So they will be exactly two years apart.
I think it will be a good age difference.

Emma is 8 months old - I'd like to wait until she's 1 to TTC #2.

Re: how long will you wait?
I'm on the fence about this one. I would love to start TTC whne she's 1, however DH feels very different than me, he would like to wait a couple of years. But, the more I think about it, I want to spend as much time with Isabella "alone", without another child. I want her to be only little one for a while. Plus, when I think about paying for 2 college tuitions, weddings, all close together I get a nervous twitch
If it happens, it happens. But I don't think will be TTC for another 2 years.

My kids are 21 months apart. It was hard at first but as they get older it's been a lot easier.

Re: how long will you wait?
I think we will wait a few years. I would like DS to be about 4 years old when baby #2 comes along.

Re: how long will you wait?
We started TTC #2 when #1 was 5 months old. It took 11 months to conceive #2. My boys are 25 months apart.
If there's a #3 in our future, we better start soon. I'm getting old!

Re: how long will you wait?
We are "winging it"... when it happens, it happens... we are not trying for # 2, but we really should be doing more to prevent it if we wanted to wait... He would like to start this coming year though, so they would be three years apart. I just want one!

Re: how long will you wait?
My son is 2 1/2 and we are just starting to try for # 2. Originally we wanted them to be 2 years apart, but life got so hectic and busy so now they will be over 3 years apart if we conceive soon.

I wanted my kids 2 years apart, and I got exactly that! We started to TTC last summer when Andrew was 15 months old and we basically got PG right away. Lauren was born 3 days before Andrew's 2nd b-day.
If, and that's a big IF, we try for a #3, they will be at LEAST 3 years apart. Having them 2 years apart was good, but I feel like I don't have enough time anymore for Andrew, and I feel guilty about that. Lauren is a good baby though, so it helps a little. But I still feel guilty!

Re: how long will you wait?
We waited until our son was a year old. Got pregnant right away (so they're exactly 22 months apart).
I love the age difference. Joseph doesn't remember Maddie ever not being around, less jealousy, no thunder stolen. She potty trained earlier because her brother was potty training when she was 15 months old. Ok so she wanted to stand to pee, but we solved that one.
I think any age difference you go for works.

Re: how long will you wait?
My kids are 3 years 9 months apart. I think it is a nice age difference because sammy was more independent and toilet trained when Sara was born. I aactually conceived on sammy's birthday

We originally were going to try when she hit a year but to be honest we are too exhausted So we will start trying again next summer to plan it that I can be home from March to Sept with them.

Re: how long will you wait?
We talked about waiting as much as 4-5 years since ours was an unplanned but definately joyful pregnancy --- we just weren't ready for it financially so we wanted to give it some time to get more on our feet...
However recently DH has talked about trying in a year or so ....
Sometimes I want a new little baby right away, other times I'm wondering how I'll ever be able to handle it. I think the doubtful days are just telling me that the time isn't right yet ... and when it is right it'll happen.

Re: how long will you wait?
I wanted to enjoy DS for as long as possible. He is now 3 1/2 and we are trying for #2.
We are both really young so age wasn't a factor when deciding how long to wait inbetween children I am 1000% happy with our children. DS starts PR-K in September and I didn't want baby #2 until DS started school

Re: how long will you wait?
my oldest was 3 years and 3 months when the middle one was born and the middle one was 3 years and 8 months when the youngest was born. IMO this was a good age difference because you can spend quality time with each in a different way and there is less jelousy. if we do go for another it will be sooner though because times a passing!!! i'm not getting any younger!

Re: how long will you wait?
I was enjoying my son so much I didn't rush it. I knew that 35 was the big "it might take longer to conceive age" So, we got pregnant when I was 34 (Patrick was 3 1/2 years old) I got pregnant on the second try. Had my twin girls 4 days after I turned 35.

Re: how long will you wait?
I would like them to be about 3 years apart so we'll start trying in Jan of 2008 because I would like to be pregnant during the same time of year as I was before.
