I think it's relative, and depends on how long you've been trying

i'm going on 22 months of trying..
after 9 months, i thought it was long and at that point we decided to start seeing an RE (i'm 37) .
at a year, it was pretty rough, but i stayed positive.
at a year and a half, we took a break because it had been too long and was really starting to take a toll on us both mentally and physically

now we're back in the game and it feels like i've been doing this forever!!

so, i think its relative..
