A year and a half after we got married.
We were in the apt. for two years before we got married, so 3 1/2 years altogether.

We lived in an apartment from June of 2004 - December 2005 (1 1/2 years), then we moved into IL's house (they were living in NY at the time so we were "housesitting"), then we got our own house in July, 2006

DH lived in an apt prior to getting married...but we bought our house 7 months before we got married...he moved in to it 4 months after we bought it and I moved in after we got married

I lived in my apt for 8 years...but we bought a house right before our first anniversary
Almost the same, I lived alone in my Apt for 3 years when we got engaged we moved in together for 2 years-Total for me 5 years and we are close to one year anniversary (April 28) and should be closing this week, hopefully

We've neve rented.
We purchased a coop 3 years ago, we just got married in September. We plan on staying another year then starting the house hunt

I lived in an apartment for 2 years (with a friend) before DH and I were married/engaged.
We moved into our house right when we got married.

Well, I was paying RENT on an apartment for 1 year, but I didn't officially move in until after we got married, so I actually lived in the apartment for 8 months. Now we are living with my parents until we find a house.

Never while married. We bought our condo 6 months before the wedding. Before getting married we both rented after college for a while, but bought before the wedding.

I lived with my cousin for a year, then moved in with DH and we have been renting for 3.5 years.
I actually think we will be renting for at least another 2-3 years before we buy something because we don't know where we are going to end up
