How early did you start stocking up on diapers?

I've been saving coupons that I've been getting in the mail or that I see in the paper, but some of them are about to expire. I'm 10 weeks... is it too early?

**My MIL has been stocking up on Pampers for my SIL (who is due in March) and us so that is the brand I have coupons for.

I didn't stock up at all. You'll never know what size your DC will be in, and for how long. Diapers are kind of a trial and error kind of thing.

There will be more diaper coupons when you delivery, there are always coupons in the paper.

I'm 5 months along and just started stocking up for DS # 2. DS 1 we didn't bc we werent sure how the diapers would fit etc. we buy LUVS and they work great for DS, so I'm sure they will be good for the next LO. Plus these diaper prices go up every so often

I would hold off on diapers.

Register for a box of NB's and a box of size 1's.

I wouldn't go nuts though.

I CLEARED out eckerd 2 years ago when i was preggo and im still using them...lol i got A LOT!!!!

I am not going to simply because we have NO space to store anything.
Plus like the PP said- you don't know what size the baby will be at birth, if a particular brand is going to work for your DC, etc

I am not going to. With my DS we tried 3 different brands before we found something we liked.

I'm having twins and will need a LOT of diapers. I started buying them around 10 weeks (that's how I told DH we were having twins-----bought lots of diapers and told him, "We're going to need all of these!).

We did a diaper raffle at our shower and now we have sooooo many boxes of NB... isnt here yet but is already measuring big so hopefully we can use "some" of the NB's but I think he will go right into size 1...

I registered for diapers... for different stages at that.

We're all going to go through many diapers so we need all the help we can get.

I'm only planning on getting a couple jumbo packs to start with and then see how big the baby is when she gets here. It's something easy to run to the store for, send DH for or order via diapers.com.

After he was born.

My DS was measuring big, so I only bought one package of size 1 swaddlers. He never fit into the NB size, so I was glad we didn't buy any. We started buying the cases at BRU after he was born.

I have about 3 bags. I don't know what I will like so I am not going crazy.

I read in Baby Bargains that you should have about 100 NB and 400-500 size one diapers. They recommended keeping the receipt for the NB just in case your baby is bigger. I bought one box of size one (about 200 diapers). I'm stopping there until after the baby shower.

Not until I have the baby.

you never know how big the baby is going to be, what diaper works best for them, and how long they will last in each size.

i have a ton of newborn but thats b/c my sister was going to toss them if I didnt take them

i registered for size 1, 2, and 2-3 (1 box of each...the jumbo pack or whatever).

but we're not buying anything else beforehand. I've been signing up for samples and such.

I bought one box of newborns and will buy more when the baby comes

I wouldn't stock up too much. You have no idea what brand will work best, or which ones will leak (Huggies ), or if any brand will give DC a rash. I would buy just a box or two to start, plus the hospital will send you home with a bunch.

From people I know who just had babies, they say just to get a case of newborns and that's it to start. Most babies are below 10lbs (I think) so it's a safe size. You don't know how fast they'll grow or how close to 10lbs they'll be.

Once you open the box, you can't return it so it's a huge waste of money if you don't need the all those diapers.

23 weeks and i haven't bought any yet, i am having twins so im sure newborn size will be good, im gonna buy some closer to when im due, if an emergency occurs and i don't have diapers i know my sil will go out and get them for me

I haven't bought any. I registered for a box of Newborn and two packs of size 1. Hopefully I get some at the shower, but if not, we might just buy the newborn box ourselves right before my due date.

Otherwise, not going crazy. We don't have storage and once we have the shower, whatever we get will be taking up the little bit of room we do have.
