How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
Honestly, the thought scares me. Only because I know it would be a lot of hard work and we only have a 1 bedroom right now so the room for 2 babies would be reallyyyyy tough.
With taking clomid, I know I might have a possibility of having twins... If it happens, then its a blessing from God and its meant to be....but I cant help but feel nervous/scared about the possibility of having twins.
I asked DH and to my surprise he said he wouldnt mind having twins at all and would take it in stride. Wow!
Can anyone help ease my feelings and embrace this possibility? TIA

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
I would prefer to only have one at a time but if I were to have twins I would be ok with it. It would be great if it was twins for it to be a girl and a boy because then I would be DONE!
I think your feelings are completely normal, having one baby is a scary though nevermind two. It's the fear of the unknown.

At this point Ill take whatever comes my way I would be a little nervous about the financial aspect and working while pregnant with twins ( I have a pretty physical job) but everything happens for a reason so we would be very excited!

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
about a year ago i was told by a clairvoyant that i was going to have twins. this was right before we started TTC and i didnt ask the clairvoyant - he was a family friend and just said it out of nowhere.
i always kind of thought twins would be cool but i didnt start thinking about it for real until he said that. i also never thought the possibility of twins would come from fertility drugs and not dumb luck . at this point i will take whatever the world wants to give me!!

I feel the same way! I am concerned about having twins because of the additional health risks and the financial aspect, but we know that we would love to have at least two children, and if having twins is the only way that will happen for us then I agree with Blu-ize - bring it on!!

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
3 years ago, i would have freaked. 2 years ago, i would have been happy but nervous. Today i would scream, THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!
Once, i started injectibles, Dr. B. had the multiple discussion with us, before he could finish the first sentence my DH and I said we welcomed anything God gave us.

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
I will share my take on it....
I did IVF with my DD and got pregnant with twins. Were were freaked out? YES!!! But were overjoyed! (in fact, there had been a 3 sac there too, but it never developed passed a sac).
Unforunately we lost one of the twins at 7 weeks. My husband and I were devasted (this was the 3rd baby we lost), but at the same time overjoyed Baby A was healthy.
When we decided to go back to the RE for DC #2, DD was 9 months old at the time.
After doing PGD, we had 2 viable embryos. Both took.... DH was totally over the moon....me....not so much. The thought of having 3 kids under the age of 2 terrified me. I actually started to cry when they pointed out the two babies. The of course the guilt kicked in that I should be SO grateful for having two more babies (this was going to be our last attempt).
One of the babies never developed past the sac and fetal pole (no heartbeat). I will admit that I breathed a little sigh of relief, because I really was in full panic mode.
Of course I would have gotten over the panic and the fear and we all would have adjusted, but I was more open to having twins the first time around then the 2nd time around.

Honestly, I would love to have twins. It would be nice to have the babies grow up together and have each other. Of course, have 2 kids at the same time will be really hard and tiring but you'll be done with child labor one time with 2 kids!

I have very similar feelings...
We were PG with twins after our second FET, and were SO happy. We started thinking in "double" and were honestly just thrilled and over the moon! We lost one at 9 weeks and of course were devastated.
After having my ONE baby... I realize how difficult it would have been with two, although I would have loved to have both of my babies.
Like the PP said, I felt very open to having twins the first time around... more so than I would feel if in that situation the second time around... but we would be happy to be blessed with whatever!

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
I'm scared to death of having just one, but honestly if i did have twins, i'd almost be relieved that it would all be over with in one shot! DH really wants more than one child, and i just keep saying lets see what happens if/when we have the first one before i agree to having another.
I think it would be pretty terrifying to have twins, but i know its a very real risk from taking the medications that i'm on. We've discussed it with the RE and we'll deal with it if the time comes.

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
I would also prefer to have one at at a time. It all wil depend on how viable the embryos are. During our first cycle, I had 14 fertilize, so I only transfered one. Sad to say, it didn't work and the other embies all died off and didn't make it to freezing. This cycle I will make the decision to implant one or two depending on how good and how many blastocycts we have on transfer day. If we end up putting 2 and they take, then wonderful. My sister went through IVF 3 times and ended up with amazing twin girls. Twins are double the blessing, right?

THis is the conversation DH and I had with Dr. B today. We are starting injections tonight. DH and i have discussed this at length a few times before we started seeing Dr. B and decided that yes it would be tougher but we can make it work and we will be extremly happy with whatever we get. I have to admit it is nerve wracking thinking about have more than 1 at a time.

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
I am scared to death of having twins. I know it's a very distinct possibility because twins run on both sides of our family and I am taking fertility meds. If it happens, we'll of course feel blessed and will find our way through it, just like everyone else who has multiples. What's meant to be will be.

Re: How Do You Feel About A Possiblity Of Twins?
I would love twins!!!! Especially with how difficult this process is and especially knowing for all pregnancies I will need to take Lovenox.
I would love 3 children. So having 2 right away at the same time would be great!!!
