Re: How did you decide when to try?

I'm not going to lie. I'm absolutely feeling the pressure. From DH, from my mom, from my friends, everyone everywhere.

Am I ready? No. I feel like I still haven't traveled as much as I would like to, my house isn't where I want to raise kids, I don't want to give up my freedom and professionally, I'm not where I want to be. However, I'm afraid that if I wait until I accomplish all of those things I'll be 100 and my time will have passed.

So although I'm not "ready", I know it's time to take off the party hat and grow up.

Re: How did you decide when to try?

hmmm I just dont know if I will ever be ready. Will I be ready to give up my life as I know it? Will I be able to give up sleep??? LOL! Everyone says it is so worth it but I am pretty selfish and we both have a nice routine down right now.

We have been married over two years though and originally I wanted to wait another 5 months before trying but we decided to jump into it a bit earlier bc I got the itch. I never thought I would get the itch bc like I said I am a bit selfish but I dunno I just got it and guess I am ready to give up some things. I know it is going to be a shock but I say let's go for it!

Also not sure if I am making sense here, lol! I guess my point is I will always miss my sleep, my gym time, my ME time, my travel time. Doesnt matter if a baby comes now or in 5 years from now. Also I have heard some people say the longer you wait, the more you get set in your ways, lol, and then you have an even harder time parting with your freedom! Sounds sorta true!

Re: How did you decide when to try?

We both wanted to enjoy a few years of our marriage first. We're not trying yet but my BC is up in March (I think) and I say now that will be my last, but ask me again in March. Chat Icon Chat Icon
