Holy Weight Gain

So I had my internal last night, everything went well...just waiting on the Strep B results. But my weight...5 pounds in 2 weeks! I feel like that is a lot of weight for 2 weeks. Anyone else have this in their 3rd Trimester? The dr. didn't seem concerned and I know as of Thursday I will be 4 weeks away from my due date but I couldn't stop thinking is it going to be like this every week?!? I am almost at the 30 pound mark for weight gain in this pregnancy.

at this point a lot of it is water weight! don't worry - you'll lose a ton once you give birth. drink more water and continue to eat well, you should be fine.

i gained 40 lbs with DS and my OB never said a word

I am 34 weeks now and my visit last week I gained 6 lbs in 2 weeks....but its all water bc my akles are all swollen. The Dr didnt seem to think it was a big deal so my total as of now is 32 lb gain.....Oh well what can ya do as long as the babies are fine I am not going to worry about it.

yes...same thing happened to me around that time I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks...but the following week lost 3 pounds.

Definately a lot of water weight at this point. My last appt was Friday & I went up only 2lbs in 2 weeks (this is a record for me). I am already at the 35lb mark but my Dr said a lot of it is water & not to worry so much

It's all gonna come off soon! I wouldn't worry about it!

You are so tiny, I'm sure it will come off in no time. Probably mostly water weight.

To make you feel better---my last appointment last week, i gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks! Im a little nervous about getting on that scale thursday. I keep wondering if the OB will say something about my weight gain but they keep saying im right on track.

40 pounds is on track.... I have some work to do when she comes out!!

totally what happened to me. i didnt gain any weight until 26 weeks and from 26 to 37 weeks i gained 23 pounds!!!

Don't stress, it's most likely water retention. I've been up and down within 5lbs the enitre 3rd trimester. My dr. said it's most likely water weight.

i gained 3lbs in 2 weeks as of my OB appt yesterday, so im up to 19lbs in 31weeks.

Ive never gained more than 1lb/week so i was a little shocked - but they say in your 3rd tri you tend to gain more!

at 36 weeks im up 30 lbs exactly
