Holy Moly *graphic Pic*
I was just looking on Newsday.com and came accross this pitcure: 
I can't find a story to got with it but the baby was born in India.
ETA: Sorry I didn't think I was going to disturb anyone. I found it fascinating that this child is being considered a reincarnation of a goddess Plus IMHO there are plenty of pics on here that I wouldn't want to see but their avatar pics so I have no choice even if its a post I wanted to read

i heard about this on the news at work. A doctor at my job said that its in India and the baby is considered a GOD there now. Poor little baby.

Thats what I was wondering. It is very strange. I think its just a facial abnormality. I think the rest of her body is normal.

I didn't find the picture disturbing at all. I love this line in the article:

She's a child (a beautiful one at that) who was born with a deformity. People around her will have to look at her all the time - she's another human being. I don't find it disturbing in the least. Sure, it's abnormal and not what we see every day, but disturbing? Graphic? Causing nightmares? I just think that's the sort of prejudice this child will have to face her entire life...
ETA -- I think I was shocked at first when I opened this thread b/c I didn't know what to expect. So I guess from that perspective, I was a little "whoa!" when I first opened this up... but then I got over it...

See thats how I felt that is why I posted it, plus why I didn't put the *graphic pic* because I didn't find it disturbing or graphic or nightmarish, but beautiful and fascinating

She's a beautiful child.
I read another article about how the family is refusing special medical care and tests although her specific deformity is often linked to serious health problems. Since they believe that she is the reincarnation of a deity, they don't feel she needs extra medical attention. Discuss amongst yourselves.

ITA - I feel sorry for this baby, this is a real child, born with a disfigurement. Its certainly not her fault -

oh boy... that is a really serious case of conjoined twins. the poor thing....
I wonder if something can even be done for her? What organs are shared, is her brain normal, are major cranial veins abnormal too?
