Going to a party with a dog and going to inlaws with birds.... how do I keep thr baby clean from the dirty floor.... was thinking a blanket but it sounds like a lot of room and will have to keep moving it?

Besides a little dog hair I don't think it's that big a deal. I would just let my ds crawl and then clean them later.
I'm not a big worrier about germs though. My ds is exposed to much more at daycare.

They don't clean before a party? I had my nephew offer on fri and I just made sure to do a vacuum before he came. The worst thing that happened was he tried to put a cat toy, a large ball, in his mouth but he wasn't covered with hair or anything when he left.

Double ditto. Once kids start crawling, you just gotta say, "screw it". Just wash hands before baby eats.

Yes, it happens... They take the birds out of their cage to that room, the birds inevitably poop, they also fly around the room so who knows what goes where then. and it probably tracks into the room when they walk back from the birds room..
