Heating Oil users
I hate that we haven't converted to gas yet, but we just haven't been able to afford the initial cost of conversion...anyway we just got (an emergency) oil delivery yesterday and it was insane we paid 3.99/gl
I would like to know what other ppl are paying/gl and if they got a "lock in" rate and when the got it if so? I don't know if its allowed but if you could post the company as well. I know oil has gone down, I'm so ****** we paid so much!

We got an oil delivery on Monday. $3.899/gallon. We are capped at $3.799. We use Perillo Bros.

No, I pay much lower and don't have a contract. We got a delivery yesterday and it was around 3.43 a gallon. I shop around and call a bunch of places and check codfuel.com to compare prices and go w/ whoever has the lowest price! 3.99 a gallon =  !!!!

We are locked with slomins for 2.89 but our contract is up 11/20! I have no idea what we are going to do, oil has increased so much  There are no gas lines here so no hope of converting anytime soon

No. $3.899 was the going rate for the day we got the fill up. My bill will be adjusted with the $3.799 rate.

We always lock our rates but this is the first year that we're just doing COD. I'm not comfortable doing it this way but when I was calling and getting rates, they were just so ridiculous that I couldn't lock. Plus, I feel like every other week they're saying it may go down. I have to find a place that will just hold a service contract for us though.

I have a contract for service...but I use the same ppl for the oil and frankly they're pretty expensive. I wonder if I can go with an outside company for oil, but just keep the current company for the service?

I was locked at $2.99 thru Oct 31 with Meenan. My new contract with them has me capped at $4.19 !! The only good thing is they gave me $50 off my service contract and my next delivery (which is next well) at the $2.99 rate !! That's going to save me $$$ too. Hopefully oil stays low and I never pay the $4.19 cap !!

I also just found out Meenan, Lewis, Burke & Petro are the same company so if youre trying to shop your rate, you can skip those if you have one of them as you won't get the "new customer" rate.
