heartrate

If the heartrate was in the 150's. Does that usually mean boy or girl?

Re: heartrate

I think it depends on how far along you are. At 12 and 16 weeks Chat Icon 's heartrate was well over 160. At our 20 week sono his rate was 137. I have also heard that it just depends on when you are listening to the rate -- if you catch the baby at an active time the rate will be higher, if the baby has been resting it will be lower.

Re: heartrate

they usually say faster is a girl but I read that at the beginning (12 weeks and less) the babies heart rate will be faster. At 8 weeks mine was 166 and now at 21 weeks it is 155. I dont know what to think bc they say 140 and under is a boy but 155 is kinda on the border of being a girl or boy..

I think you correct!

My Chat Icon's heartrate has been high since the beginning. Always in the 170s until it slowed down recently the bigger he got..

Everyone at my doctor's office kept saying "girl" but proof was in the sonogram - it's a boy! Chat Icon
