My employer pays 100 percent for individual. DH becomes permanent with the county at the end of january and it will be approx 240/mo for a family plan with the Empire Plan.

Re: Health insurance
I was paying about $30/month for me and DH. Just recently switched plans (which is actually the same exact plan b/c I never see an out of network Dr) and now I pay nothing.
I get it 100% paid until my salary goes over a certain amount - which could be in April. Then I will pay about $15/month for the two of us.

I work for the government. I don't pay a thing.
I do to...but I pay...what government? State or Federal?
it doesn't just have to be those, govt employees are also those who work for town, county, school district as civil service employees, etc.

I was like $10 bi-weekly just for me, but I added on DH and for the family plan (does not increase if we have kids), it is $90 bi-weekly for Empire plan, $18 per visit/prescription. Vision and dental are free through my union for my entire immediate family.

Re: Health insurance
I am soooooo jealous of all of the people who pay so little. We just got DH's w-2 for 2007 and we payed almost $10,000 for medical - that is not including dental or vision, we have a $100 deductable per person and $15 copays for primary care doctors, $30 for specialists.
They also didn't cover my prenatals when I was pregnant, so they were another $50 per month.
His job just introduced a flex spending plan (after we urged them too) so it looks like we will have somewhere between $12,000 and $15,000 total taken out for medical - it is CRAZY

Re: Health insurance
I personally pay $170 per month. job pays the rest.
my husband has his own plan, and I don't think he pays..I think his employer pays 100% of the premium, but if he had a family plan, he would have to pay.
ETa: I work for the Federal Govt. I have a great medical plan but sucky dental and soso vision.

Re: Health insurance
My Dh works for the insurance company so we get an incredible deal, our portion is $15 per month for a family plan.
A very similar plan, through the same insurnace company, at my office is over $500 a month for the family plan. Insurnace is crazy expensive!!!!

I want to say it's $36 a week for the both of us - includes full eye & dental.
ETA - that I am under DHs insurance...so he pays $36/week.

Re: Health insurance
I was paying 65.00 per week so that's 260.0 a month not incuding dental NO vision, 10.00 co pay But now that I am not working it would be about 1500.00 a month for COBRA payments so Its either health ins or mortgage payments... so we have no health ins right now :(
(the kids have Health Plus)(18.00 per month for both kids)

Every MONTH, we pay about 100 bucks. That's for JT, Me and Ava. We have no deductibles and decent co-pays.
ETA: This includes medical, dental and vision.
I think that's what I pay for our family coverage through my job. I remember it was very reasonable.

Re: Health insurance
DH is a city teacher - so his union dues ($60 bi-weekly??) cover health insurance and perscriptions and dental, amongst other union perks.
before we were married, my health and dental were about $70 bi weekly just for me
