Having the worst day at work
I work with emotionally disturbed preschoolers. Today, I am on crisis duty, and have been hit across the face, bitten, and head-butted in the lip, all by the same child.
It's not the first time that I've been physically hurt by a child, but for some reason, it's really bothering me today. I started crying and can't seem to stop. Every time someone sees my red eyes, they ask what's wrong and I start crying again. I have always cried very easily, but I try very hard not to cry at work, when others can see me. I don't know what's with me today.

I've taken many deep breaths, calmed down, then started crying again.
My day ends at 3:30. Kids leave at 2:15.

I agree...I have worked with the DD population before and been bitten, kicked, slapped, etc. Its HARD! Give yourself some credit- everyone has an emotional day here and there.

Wow...you really are my hero. I'm so sorry to hear about your day. I admire people like you so much. I know I'd never be strong enough. Be proud that you are!!! You are definitely allowed to let it out!!!
