have you ever cheated?

just curious what goes through one's mind....i have never cheated. have never been cheated on by anyone that mattered. I don't understand why you wouldn't just break it off first? is the lust of it all worth hurting someone the way cheating hurts? isn't it that simple?

I have but when i was very young at the wee age of 16

i was so young and stupid so when my boyfriend cheated on me i did the same to him then we broke up

Never cheated but then again didn't date much.

I know people who have cheated and I have wondered why they didn't break up with the first person and then proceed. I guess some people are enticed and then afraid to leave what they know is secure.

Never physically cheated, but I came close a couple of times.

ETA: Once I realized how I was feeling, I broke up with my boyfriend a few days later.

Never. I could never understand why people would ever do this. IMHO, if you're not happy, end the relationship!

I never cheated nor would ever think to.....I have been cheated on though...or have reason to believe any ways, and it stinks! I wonder what goes through the mind of others as well...people do some crazy things without thinking of others feelings.

i started seeing someone else when i was SORT of with kevin (meaning, he was still living with his girlfriend at the time... although she was seeing someone else)..... we were ending at that point anyway. why should i wait for him while he is still living with someone else was how i saw it.

then he smartened up and broke up with her for good and started living alone.... i didnt go back to him yet because i liked the relationship i was in at hte time, but then she cheated on me as well, so i went back to kevin. i moved in with him before i broke up with her.

Nope - if I were unhappy I would just end the relationship. Cheating is so not worth it for a million reasons.

nope and i never will. if you're not happy, end the relationship. i have no respect for people that cheats with a married person. too many people will get hurt

i have, but never on dh. i cheated on my college boyfriend. i guess i knew things weren't great, but i wanted that stability. i always had sorority formals and everything and liked knowing that i always had a date. stupid, huh? i did fall in love with someone else when i was with my college boyfriend. the guy who lived across the hall from my apt....he was gorgeous, and so so smart, but he lived with his girlfriend (and a few other people)! we were sneaking around...and it was fun because it was exciting.

i would never, ever cheat in my marriage, but it is hard knowing i will never have another first kiss. i know i gave up excitement for stability, and i never regret it, but i can see why people might do it. don't get me wrong, i will never, ever cheat, but sometimes i do get sad knowing that the honeymoon part of our relationship is done. the flowers, the notes....sometimes i feel taken for granted, and i think someone weaker would then cheat to get that attention.

Yes, when I was younger. Was it right, no. But I don't think it's as horrendous as is being implied. Of course in a committed adult relationship cheating is completely unacceptable, but when you're still a kid- sh!t happens.

Up until I met my FH, I was known as MVP (most valuable player), I cheated on everyone. I feel bad about it now, but at the time, I was living it up. I think mostly I enjoyed the attention it got me, people thought my life was so "exciting" and "like a soap opera", so it encouraged me. Now, I guess since I found the one, I don't think I could look at another guy ever again.

I could never ever cheat, if my guy cheated on me id be absolutly sick to my stomach thinking about him even touching another girl.. altho i do see WHY pple cheat--usually its to find the things they r missing either within themselves or their relationship
