Has anyone ever stayed at the Ritz Carlton San Juan?
Curious to know how far it is from bars/restaurants, etc. We will be staying 4 nights in November. TIA

Oh, I wish I could remember. We didn't stay there. DH (back then he was my Boyfriend) and I went with other friends on a cruise so we walked over to that hotel for drinks outside. I want to say I think it's close to other stuff. It was about 4 - 5 years ago.
Either way I heard it's beautiful so you'll have fun!

I did about 7 or 8 years ago. The hotel was nice. We enjoyed the casino. I would recommend staying on the concierge floor. I would say that PR overall kind of sucks IMO. The beaches (at least on that part of the island) are nothing so great.

The Ritz is conveniently located and if I remember correctly, has a great pool and good restaurants on the resort.
Old San Juan is nice. I remember really enjoying luminescent bay. I had the best paella of my life in some cart by the bay. Yummy! We also did the bacardi tour.
The last time I went to Puerto Rico I was in college and thought the clubs were a bit lame. We stayed at the Ritz and I was not overly impressed. Now that I have a family, I think Puerto Rico would be perfect - not that far with all the comforts of America.

my sister and her fiance just stayed at the Ritz in PR and had an amazing time. They loved the private beach, restaurants and said the service was incredible

The Ritz is a beautiful hotel. It's not in Old San Juan but not too far either, maybe a 5-10 minute cab ride. You can walk to the El San Juan Hotel if you don't want to go far-they have a couple of bars.

We loveddd the Ritz Carlton...hateddd PR. The weather sucked while we were there so I guess that helps. The Ritz has a nice Casino and the restaurants are GREAT! We ate at all of them and they were amazing. BLT, Ill Mullino, the Pool restaurant and their Hotel Restaurant were all great! You are going to love the amenities and the hotel in general! You should walk to the Old San Juan hotel as well..it's very close to the Ritz and it is walking distance. We also walked to CVS b/c we forgot our camera!
