Driving from San Juan to Rincon, Puerto Rico

Driving from San Juan to Rincon, Puerto Rico
Has anyone ever done it? Would you recommend it? I see there is a more coastal driving route and a scenic route.
I know you can fly direct into Aguadilla instead, just curious if anyone ever drove from San Juan.

We did it but not as part of the plan. We were going on a cruise from San Juan and my moms boyfriend did priceline for our hotel and didnt pay attention to the distance. It is about 2 hours away from each other.

We did do that drive once. It is long. Only part of it is interstate highway, the rest of the roads are smaller ones. I believe that the drive takes about 2 1/2 hours.
We have also flown into Aguadilla which was a much more convenient drive to Rincon.
