yes, i tested yesterday morning it said negative, but AF is not due until next Tuesday. So not sure how accurate the test is just yet.
To be honest, i have more preggo symptoms now..really bad gas (sorry tmi), sore throat and still gagging when brushing teeth...my fever and chills are gone..that didn't last too long.
I'll test again on Sunday or Monday.

If you take the pill every day (and aren't on antibiotics or other medication that can lessen the effectiveness) then it works very very well. USUALLY (not always) women who get pg while on the pill have missed a few doses or were on antibiotic.
By taking it everyday, it suppresses ovulation. Forgetting 2 pills can trigger the body to ovulate, and that is when most women get pg on the pill. I'm sure it can and does happen when taken faithfully but its rare.

Yes, that's what i thought too, until i started hearing about all these people who have become pregnant on the pill!
I have never missed a day, i am however, guilty of not taking it at the same exact time of day..but in the past i never had any issues by doing that.

I know of someone that did. She was on antibiotics while on BC and she ended up PG.

Today is one of the best days of my life, i just got AF...i had a bad scare..i got two light positives..one on Friday and a darker one on Saturday...both results showed a second line after the 10 minute mark..but i assumed i was pregnant, and cried all day on Sunday..didn't even get out of pj's. I am on birth control because i don't want any more children..and emotionally, physically, financially the thought of another child was making me very upset.
Anyway, i've never been so happy to see AF..
And for anyone tic, don't buy CVS brand pregnancy tests!!!!

glad you got af!!!!! btw you could have had a chem preg...which is why you felt sooooo sick... might wanna bring it iup to you your doc in case you need a different bcp kwim??? happy new year!!!

I have to say..those CVS blue dye tests should be wiped off the shelves!! I swear that they will ALWAYS give a second line, usuallly right after the time limit. It's insane. When we were ttc#2 I took two of those and both positives after about 15 minutes. I then got my period about half an hour later, lol. If you research them they are prone to second lines after timeframe and sometimes within. Terrible!!
But I'm glad it all worked out for you. Talk to you DH about a vasectomy  No more worrying!

YES! Those blue dye tests are AWFUL
If you google blue dye hpt and evap lines/false positives you will see a TON of people saying the same thing.
It usually is after the time limit though- so techincally you shouldn't be reading them at that point- but who can follow those rules? 
I almost had a heart attack due to one of the Target brand ones and I will now ONLY buy the pink dye tests
But congrat on AF! I know that feeling...shudder!

I'm not sure it's such a simple thing - I think it's a pretty significant surgery, but maybe I'm wrong? I remember women saying they do it when they're already in surgery for a c/s?
OP - As a pp mentioned it could have been a chemical pregnancy -i'd definitely mention to your dr. and try to be diligent about taking the pill.

honestly I would test again with another brand,if you already received two positives. Just to be sure, especially sine you said you had symptoms.I had bleeding around the time of my anticipated period with both of my kids, but it wasn't a full on period, and I was pregnant.

Oh, Im sure its not a simple procedure but obviously this was a big scare to the OP to the point where she was crying of the thought of being pregnant again. I would think it would be best to make something permanent and there would be no chance of something like this happening again. If not, then maybe she should have her husband get a vasectomy.
