Has anyone ever become pregnant while on pill?
just curious how common it really is. I can't figure out why for the last few mornings I have been gagging every time i brush teeth, i have a few other weird things going on and its making me wonder.......

Are you taking the mini pill? I'm on that now and have been warned it's definitely less effective than the combination pill.

Great, well i'm 40, just had a baby in may and really don't want to be...sorry if that does not sound nice.
However, just dug up an old wondfo test (it expired in October), and i'm not sure if its an ovulation or pregnancy test..it just says RADPID ONE on it, but i got two lines. Hopefully its an ovulation test.

are you on antibiotics? that makes the pill less effective too.
when i was on the pill in college i would get crazy nauseous every morning. it was actually from the pill (it was a multi-hormone pill) and when i switched to a single hormone pill i felt fine. so it could be that too.
are you getting a positive (two equal lines or darker colored test lines) on the test you took? if its an ovulation test unless they are the same or darker its not a positive - also it could be from the pill that its showing positive (if its an OPK). good luck!

Not on any antibiotics.. Control line is darker, so hopefully its an opk..i'm checking with girls on ttc board. The more i think about it i don't think i could really be pregnant.

Not to complicate matters, but an OPK can also be used as a pregnancy test.
This explains why and how
So bottom line is- unless you know for sure what kind of test it is, you can't be sure you are safe or not.
I'd get to CVS ASAP for a true pregnancy test just for peace of mind because that would be making me batty.

What color is the test stick? I think the ovulation and pregnancy test strips are different colors. Like green is ovulation and blue is pregnancy? Maybe?

Personally I would get a real, unexpired pregnancy test and take it. If in fact you are pregnant you should NOT be taking the pill still.
Have you skipped and then doubled up at all this month?

Read above - a positive OPK can ALSO mean that you are pregnant.
Do yourself a favor and go get a REAL pregnancy test.

Yes I was just gonna say that.
When I was pregnant I took an OPK out of curiousity- positive.
They test for the same hormone with a twist- read that article i posted to explain it
Just be careful

My friend got pregnant on the pill, but she was taking migraine medication and altered the effect of the BC pill.

If you are on the pill then you should NOT be ovulating and def not have a positive O test. So either you're pregnant or you're ovulating through the pill which isn't good and you can become prego.

Oh goodness, i did not know that...the only good part would it would explain why i feel soo awful..I feel like crap with no fever and its making me nervous.
