Has anyone driven up to Westchester??
I have to meet with a few people today for a job I am very close to getting an offer from. Problem is, they are located in Westchester & plan to move back to NY Sept. 12. I have to drive up there today to meet with them & I have absolutely no idea where Im going. They gave me driving directions however I have never driven that far before. *BY MYSELF. Usually Im a very independant person & wouldn't mind the drive, but seriously.... I have to be there today at 3pm & I have no idea what time to leave.

Westchester isn't far. I would go on Mapquest & see how far they say it is & how long it would take. I would probably leave an hour early just to allow traffic time.Best of luck on the interview!

Staten Island
I want to go through Jersey, but the funny thing is, the map they provided me with doesn't even include Staten island on the MAP!! I guess I live far enough to even consider adding directions from SI.

Re: Has anyone driven up to Westchester??
According to Google maps:
46.7 mi – about 1 hour 10 mins up to 2 hours 0 mins in traffic.
I think leaving at 1pm should be fine.
Keyword: "should.
My luck would have me sitting in traffic for 3 hours.
Im so optimistic, arent I?

Definitely. I'd rather sit in the parking lot for an hour than be late for an interview.

Re: Has anyone driven up to Westchester??
You can do this! Its not that far!
look on mapquest and it will tell you about how long it should take you to get there. and add 1/2 hour for some traffic and maybe a wrong turn.

Re: Has anyone driven up to Westchester??
I would leave earlier than 1. I notice that people tend to start leaving the city for the weekend on Thursdays now instead of Fridays. I would be afraid of being late for an interview.

I think if you leave at 12:30-12:45 you should be fine. Make sure you have a contact phone number with you, just in case.
