Re: grandma question
LOL...we will most likely do Grandma. I lived very close to both my grandmas, and we differentiated them by saying "grandma upstairs" and grandma up the block"
DH's mom lives in TX so baby probably won't be seeing her so much. Although I don't know what baby will call my grandmas. This child is going to have so many grandmas they won't know what to do.

Re: grandma question
Both are called Grandma or as my son refers to them "your mommy" or "daddy's mommy".
My MIL's other grandsons (stepdaughter's chidren) call her "Nanny" to distinguish from their other grandmas. I'm not a fan of it because it reminds me of someone who is paid to watch children or Nannygoat.

Funny story...my MIL said, "Well, Jared can call me Abuella, abuelita, grandma, mom..."
I was like "mom?"
I don't think so...you'll be grandma.
My mom will be grandma or nonna.

MIL - Is Grandma sometimes Grandma Bev MOM - Nana or Nana Rose
My mom taught DD to say Nana but she decided on her own to differentiate Nana from Grandma.

Re: grandma question
My IL's are Nonna and Poppy to my neice and nephews. They are "young" so they didn't really want to be grandparents. My mom wants to be Grandma, my Dad Grandpa and his wife will probably be Sue-her name? I had a friend in colleg that would call her Grandma Tutu which is Grandmother in Hawaiian

Re: grandma question
To my nephews, my parents are Grandma (my mother was originally ga ga but later became grandma) and Poppa. I would imagine that is what my children will call them as well. My baby will be my ILs first so not really sure what they will be called. I guess once he/she comes out I will have to update this post!

Re: grandma question
My mom put dibs on 'grandma' early on in the pregnancy. MIL also wants to be called grandma and I asked her if we could call her anything else and she said NO. So I always say 'Grandma Rita' to differentiate....

Re: grandma question
Grandma for both my mom and MIL
When I was pg, I suggested "Big Momma" for my MIL.... that didn't go over to well.

Re: grandma question
MIL just likes plain ol' Grandma, while my mom likes the "baby speak" version of Grandma...."Gamma". Kind of annoying, but I'm adjusting.
