Grandchildren

Is this baby going to be the first grandchild on either your or DH's side. It will be the first for my side and second for DH's, but if we have a girl it will be the first girl in DH's family since he has all brothers.

It will be the first grandchild for both our sides. We are all so excited and the grandparents can't wait.

It will be the first for both sides!! My parents have had two girls, so a boy would be exciting, and ILs had 3 boys, so a girl would be exciting.

My LO will be the first grandchild on my side but #8 on DHs side. My family is over the moon about this baby, DHs family is happy also since it is our first child (DH is the baby in his family, so there is excitement on their part as well)

It will be the 7th on my side (sister has 5 and one on the way ),

1st grandbaby on DH's side and they are very excited!!

This will be the first on my side and could be the first on DHs side as well - BIL and SIL are due the exact same time so we'll see which one of us goes first. I'm going to be a scheduled C-section and she's a regular vaginal birth as of right now, so it should be interesting.

will be the 5th for my mom. and for my IL's this will be the 3rd. But they don't really see the other 2 so it will be like the first.

It will be the first for my side (so excited), but the second for dh's side. We will have the first girl, though!!

nope not even close. . feel like I am among the last to pop out a kid. .

in between five step kids and four siblings (combined for DH and I) there is only 1 other to NOT have a kid!!

I kind of feel like. . oh just another one at this stage - especially since we have a bunch under two!

This will be the first boy on my side. DD was the first girl on inlaws side and for my mom.

First for both sides, everyone is beyond excited! Hoping my brother and SIL will be preggo soon also, they ae trying

First on my side. For my MIL, this is the 4th (but the first that will stay on LI - my SIL lives upstate). For my FIL, this is the 11th - 2 of whom were just born in December (apparently it was a 'busy' year in our families ).

I'm a first time grandma. My daughter had a baby girl in Nov. Oh my God, the excitement I feel every time I see this baby, I can't even put it into words. I see her almost every day. I'm addicted! My son in laws parents have 2 grandsons. His mom was very excited they had a girl. I am more practical and will buy things she "needs". His mom bought some frilly dresses that she will never wear. Also, she doesnt see her often. She's got some medical problems and can't drive. They only live 20 min. away but see her maybe once a month (more for me!!)

This is my 2nd baby so he/she will be 4th on Dh's side and 3rd w/o step grand children (6th with)

My oldest is the first for my parents. I will say that my parents have a special bond with him.

My kids are the youngest on DH's side.

This is the first grandchild on both sides, and the first girl in general in DH's family haha (all of his biological 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cousins are apparently all boys). DH's mom died a few years ago, and she always wanted to have a daughter. We would have been 100% thrilled with a boy or girl, but DH's family is particularly excited that we're breaking the streak of boys .

This will be the 3rd for both sides...

my brother has 2 boys, and dh's brothers have 1 boy each...

so if we have a girl this will also be the first girl in the family.

DD was the first for my parents, this baby will be #2. Neither my brother or sister have kids yet.

this baby will be grandchild #19 for my MIL!

Glad I'm not the only one!

I'm the youngest of 7 children, DH is the second oldest of 9 kids.

For my parents, this will be the 9th grandchild.

DH -- for his parents it will also be the 9th grandchild. But it will be the first one that is local, all of the grandkids are very far away from them.
