I didn't notice the baby at first and so my first thought was "it takes a village." I guess it still applies though. I work in the beauty/fashion industry and have been on set for shoot for years. Even women as beautiful as Giselle spend hours in the chair getting hair and makeup. In that respect, it's a nice reminder that it does take WORK to make her hair look that good.
As for BFing the baby in the pic. I can't help but think the pic is manufactured for a little BFing promo. How I feel about it? Eh, I don't know. On one hand, she's trying to break a stigma attached with BF in public and if she does that by glamorizing it, so be it. But on other hand, even though this is work for her, it's not a reality for the majority of BFing women, so it's a bit unrelatable.

With regards to the first picture - there's so much going on that my initial reaction I didn't even see the baby. With that said - it's her job...and she's lucky enough to have a job where she can feed her baby while getting ready. Good for her!

I LOAATHE this woman - I would think this was just a sweet picture - if I didn't hear her running her mouth about how amazing she is as a mother and BFing and getting back in shape and eating the right food and blah blah blah -
Because of THOSE things, I see this picture and think she's trying to prove a point to universe that she can BF while "working" (getting her hair/nails/makeup done)?
MOST working mothers are not supermodels and nursing their children while sitting in a chair being pampered.
But again, I hate her - so I'm biased.
Yes I'm glad I'm not the only one. She thinks everything is so easy. Yeah it's easy when you have a ton of money,nannies, probably a chef. Or when she travels with her children with no issue. Yeah pretty easy when you take a private jet I saw her get off in a picture. I'm glad she is BF while working. I BF both my kids. But I can't get past my dislike for her.

For me, this picture doesn't show what it is really like for the "real" mom to balance family and career. I think her putting herself out there as an example of balancing family and career is so unfair to working moms. Most working moms don't have someone to do dote on them...do their make up, hair and nails. Most moms are struggling to get dressed while pumping and minding to their baby. Most of working moms don't have a job where they call the shots and can stop working because their child needs them. I think it's the presumption that this is the example of balancing family and career that hurts so many women since this is something that is so out of reach for most working moms.

I also agree with the poster who said this photo looks so staged. I don't doubt a mom can do it all. But the way she put it out there, being pampered while BF just rubs me the wrong way.

And my first thought was actually, her face looks old in this pic.
ETA - and my second thought was, I sure hope they aren't spraying hairspray or hair glop all over while that baby is right there, breathing that crap in.

My point in sharing, though, was that just because she is a model and possibly a world class ***** (I don't like her at all, honestly) doesn't make her less of a mom or make this less of a real image for her life.

I hate Giselle and her negative, insulting comments about women not breastfeeding.
The photo feels SO staged so it doesn't make me go "awwww good for her!".
I think breastfeeding is great...but she annoys the hell out of me...

it's pretty obvious that it's staged - but whether she was doing it to emphasize how she can manage to multi-task or she was just doing it as a 'look at me, i'm still beautiful' shot.. doesn't really matter.
I mean, all she's really doing is sitting there - she's not actually 'doing' anything. I'd be more impressed if she was breastfeeding while doing her own nails, curling her own hair and doing her own makeup!
It's got people talking though

I love this picture. It's beautiful! I think more celebrity pictures like THIS need to go viral and less of Miley Cyrus's butt cheeks hanging out!
I don't know much about Giselle or her stance on BFing...and if she has put others down, that is TOTALLY WRONG!!! However, for the Mom's, like myself, who do BF and are not shy about it, this makes me feel happy to see. I shouldn't have to go hide EVERYTIME I need to feed my LO, and the more public BFing is accepted, the easier it will be for me and other Moms who BF.
And with that said...I'm off to go post this pic on my FB page!

Funny because a real mom did that. Hair in curlers, and brushing her teeth, baby on her hip. She said that she not multitasking, she being multitasked upon. Which explains the picture perfectly.

I just think the pics is unnecessary. It doesn't make or break my opinion. Is it an ad for breast feeding? A ploy for attention " look at me" from the media? I'm just not getting the necessity of it breast feed your child, it's a wonderful thing. I am missing the point of this for sure.

Multitasking would be trying to do your own damn hair. Celeb moms annoy me...most of us ftwms don't get to take our kids to work and make millions doing so. I don't find it relateable at all.
