Curious how it is in your home.......
Apparently dh and I grew up with it different ways....

I grew up with it all from Santa! My parents gave to each other but Santa gave to the kids and filled our stockings! I plan to do the same.
Presents from relatives were not from Santa, and Santa didn't leave presents for us at other peoples houses either! I will also be following this, making sure that my mom & mil know they dont give toys from Santa.

A mix. DD is 6 so only know does she get it. She can read so I label them with who they are from.
We adopt a family every year and buy toys and clothes so I explain the reason. If everything is from Santa why would this family need our help?

I do most from santa, a few from mom and dad. It leaves a little room for error, lol. Like for instance, not sure if she saw a toy I left in the back of my truck by accident so that will be one from us just in case. Plus, I just want her to know we got her something. And as in the case of buying for people who are in need, I tell DD they don't have a house for santa to bring them presents to.

We both grew up with a mix, so we are doing the same. I just wonder how my kids would feel if they saw us giving gifts to their cousins, to each other, etc. but we didn't give them any from us. I know that as a youngin' I'd probably have felt slighted!

When I was growing up all of my gifts were from Santa. I think back on it now and wonder why I never noticed that my parents didn't get me anything, but I honestly had no idea. I think kids are more focused on the gifts themselves and not who they're from.

Same with me, I never wondered either lol DH grew up with some from parents some from Santa so I will prob do that just in case they see a toy or something

I grew up where one gift was from my mom and the rest were from Santa. I plan on doing this, but this year, I don't think DS will get it. I will wait until next year.

We do one wrapping paper from Santa and one wrapping paper from us. Most are from Santa except 1 or 2 presents.

This is our first Christmas with DD, but our plan is one or two gifts from us and the rest from Santa. I'm hoping Santa doesn't bring gifts for DD to our family's homes, but we'll see how that goes. She has no clue what's going on yet so it's no big deal this year.

Growing up DH only celebrated Christmas a few times then his mother converted to Jehovah witness. So he doesn't remember what they used to do before she went JW.
Once he was a teen he moved out and went back to Catholic. By then he was to old for santa.
I grew up with some from Santa, some from my parents. This is how we do it now in our house for the boys.
I tell DS that Santa doesn't have enough room in the sleigh to bring everything on every single kids list. So he picks the best of the best on the list and brings that and maybe 1 more thing. He also fills their stockings.
Everything else is from us.
DS never had a problem with it.

DH and I were just talking about this last night. DS is only 2 months old so it doesnt matter this year but looking ahead....
My parents said EVERYTHING was from Santa, in laws took credit for some things...
I feel like it is unfair for Santa to get all the shine...maybe we should tell DS we have to provide the $$ to Santa?? lol

Growing up presents were from whomever was giving...my mother was one of seven so there were a lot of aunt/uncles, cousins exchanging. It was so nice and I know rewarding for the grown ups to get nice big hugs and thanks from the kids - that was on christmas eve....
on christmas day (morning) we would open santa's presents (since he came at night when we were sleeping-duh!) and my parents had a extra special gifts from them that we (brother and I) would open.
I know my mother was very "sensitive" that way, she didnt want to show off that we would get an expensive or extra gifts and my cousins wouldnt cuase there parents couldnt afford it, so that why we would open it the next day plus it was nice private family time between us which was super special.
My DH basically didnt have anything special-I feel like he the barely celebrated it...so christmas with our baby will be the I celebrated it!

I do all gifts from Santa, however, I sewed a quilt set for my DD's American Girl bunk beds, so that is from me since she heard me talking about buying fabric for it on the phone

I'll be honest, I don't ever remember getting a gift from Santa. We always knew who he was etc., but we just didn't expect gifts from him, nor did any of our gifts say from Santa, at least not that I can remember.
No harm, no foul! I absolutely love Christmas and still believe in the spirit of Santa!
NO idea what we'll do for DS though. He's still little that he doesn't know the difference of who is giving him what. We'll just ask him to say Thank You to the person whose gift he's opening that night (grandma, aunt/uncle, etc).

We'll be doing a mix. Growing up it was the same. If I remember correctly, only a few things were from Santa and everything else was from mom and dad. We believed in Santa but I don't think it was as big of as a thing as it is in some other people's homes. But my family is from South America so I don't think Santa was as big down there .

I like for all toys to be from Santa. DH feels like we should have some from us, but my kids are so young I don't hink it matters.
Growing up I never questioned or felt slighted because mom and dad didn't get me anything. It was all about SANTA!!!
