Good pregnancy, bad baby? Crazy but just wondering
So you all know by now that I have random thoughts that pop into my head that you could probably never find in a book.
Does anybody think that if you are lucky enough to have a good symptomless pregnancy, your baby will be like the devil after it is born?
I know this is prob not true but I don't know why I am wondering it.

DH and I are convinced that our baby is going to be El Diablo. He and I were both nutcases as babies. He was a constant screamer/cryer and I was always getting into things and climbing into/out of things. And I've had a super easy pregnancy.

Funny. I have heard that the really bad babies grow up to have angels. Some sort of injustice.

I think all kids are "bad" at some point. My sister was an incredibly easy child and turned out to be the teenager from Hell. Whereas I was a terror as a baby/young child but I was an easy teenager. I will take a lunatic baby over a rebellious teenager any day!

I had a horrible pregnancy with Damien and he was definitely high maintenance as a baby.

Re: Good pregnancy, bad baby? Crazy but just wondering
The only eidence I have of this is my friend's pregnancy. She had an awesome pregnancy, no MS, worked up until her due date, quick delivery. Her son had a bad case of colic and acid reflux and he is still not sleeping though the night at 6 months. But this just may be a coincidence.

I've been wondering the same exact thing. My pregnancy has been such a breeze. I can't imagine that I'll be blessed with a good baby too.

I wonder. I had a very easy pregnancy, no ms. DD was tough for the first 3 months as we had reflux and colic. Now at 8 months she is a very happy baby, just not the greatest sleeper.

My 1st pregnancy was great and Jake is a great baby. He is getting a little worse as he hits his terrible 2's. This pregnancy I am so sick - so we shall see how this baby turns out.

Re: Good pregnancy, bad baby? Crazy but just wondering
absolutely NOT....
I had a symptomless PG, no complications, an easy birth/induction, and my baby is an angel!
She is always happy even when tired or cranky. Teething isn't all that bad...she drools and chews but she is not screaming in pain, waking at night, or inconsolable. It's quite tolerable.
I'm sure #2 will be my holy terror

Easy pregnancy, easy delivery, easy baby, slightly difficult pre-schooler to evil kindgergartner
Not as easy but still pretty easy pregnancy, easier delivery, clingy cranky baby, angel

Re: Good pregnancy, bad baby? Crazy but just wondering
i thought the SAME thing...i had the perfect pregnancy, no sickness, carried small, felt great. i thought my baby would be colic and be a bad baby but my daughter is going to be 1 and she was a really really good newborn and is still a good girl. Im actually nervous to have another baby because my experience so far has been so good! im sure everything will be fine and your not crazy for having those thoughts...lots of luck and congrats

Re: Good pregnancy, bad baby? Crazy but just wondering
If you take out my whole eye problem thing (which was NOT pregnancy related) then I had a MOST WONDERFUL pregnancy. Joseph is very well behaved and at just two months he is already sleeping thru the night.
