 | no movement since yesterday**UPDATED** I'm starting to get worried since I haven't felt any movement from my little one since sometime yesterday afternoon. She's usually very active at night and in the morning and I haven't felt a thing. I called the doctor and she told me to drink juice, sit quietly for a 1/2 hour and count how many kicks. So far none...I'm getting nervous.
Has this happened to anyone else?

 I'm 26 weeks.

UPDATE: After the juice I got about 5 movements and that was it for the rest of the day. I've been sitting still at my desk and really concentrating and nothing. My doctor told me to come in about an hour ago to be put on the monitor. It took forever to find the heartbeat (I was so nervous) - they found it on my right side and for about 15-20 minutes no sign of movement. She gave a few weak movements at the end. The doctor feels her heartbeat is strong and she must just be sitting towards my back. He sent me away with no concerns.

 | Re: no movement since yesterday This has happened to me too - I am 29 weeks now and every once and a while I go for a while without feeling anything. I have noticed that it is when I tend to be more active though - so it might just be that the baby is active when I am, so I don't notice.
I am sure everything is fine!

 | Re: no movement since yesterday this happens to me too, no biggie and dont stress remember your baby feels everything you go through and you release chemicals when we are stressed that arent so great for the baby. I just relax and poof there is a kick/ tumbling/vibration. |

 | Re: no movement since yesterday Jodi, have some juice or druit and try to sit in a quiet room. I'm sure you'll feel the baby in no time. I've had a coulpe of scares where I realized I hadn't felt the baby all day, and then right after I start thinking about it, I always feel some movement. And don't forget, some days you will feel less movement than others, and that's ok. |

 | Re: no movement since yesterday Lay on your left side. If you feel nothing after drinking some cold water or juice call the doctor. I am sure it is nothing to worry about , but better to get it checked out IMO. |

 | Re: no movement since yesterday don't worry.i'm 26 weeks too- she has her moments were she is kicking the crap out of me and then she gets very quiet- I guess she's busy sleeping & growing!

 I wouldn't worry.

sometimes if I get nervous I put some music on for her and she'll move from that (probably b/c I woke her up

 | Re: no movement since yesterday I'm sure all is ok, Jodi, but I don't blame you for your concern.. I generally have a quiet baby overall and it took me awhile to accept that. He doesn't really move around a LOT for long periods, nor does he kick HARD. Over these weeks there were periods that I too felt he wasn't moving at all - it freaked me out to the point I called the doctor as well. But the sonos always show he is doing great. Not every baby is very active in utero is what I'm always told...
It could also be that your
changed positions and she is positioned in a way that you just are not feeing her .. that has happened to me as well.
Honestly unless I'm lying down or VERY still, I don't notice him moving really. When I'm lying in bed when I first wake up in the AM and at night before I fall asleep is when I feel him most. During the daytime, unless I'm paying attention I don't notice any movement whatsoever..

Juice or sweets just never worked to get him moving (he's not a sweets fan obviously
) But pressing down a little bit on my belly usually did the trick ... the doctor even showed me how to do it.
Good Luck and keep us posted! And Don't Worry!!

She's generally very active esp in the morning and night which is why I got so concerned. I drank the juice and even put some sugar in my oatmeal and she moved a few times. The nurse told me to count how many times I feel her in a 1/2 hour - I told her about 5 times.

She said that's a good sign, but I still sensed some concern in her voice. She told me to call back 1/2 hour after eating lunch.

I'd rather be safe - so I'll do whatever they tell me too

 | Re: no movement since yesterday This has made me nervous too. I'm about 10 wks further along, but when I really noticed a decrease in movement was right before they told me I was dehydrated. I don't say this to scare you, I say this to encourage you to go drink more water to be sure that's not the cause!!!! HTH

 | Re: no movement since yesterday Please don't be nervous, Jodi. Sometimes is an active little monkey and sometimes I don't feel anything for days.
 Also,
has slowed down considerably the last few weeks and now the movements are less frequent, but more pronounced. |

 | Re: no movement since yesterday I go through this also. There are days when I get upset because I don't feel anything. Then, I get some days with tons of movement. Don't worry too much - but I know it's hard to say that. Good luck! |
