Re: For those who have christened their babies..
We had a small party around 25 people at Bertucci's restaurant in Melville. We had a private room and the food was great!

We had about 30 people over our house. We had it catered and hired someone to setup, serve & clean up.

We are having ours this Sunday at a local restaurant with just immediate family - 60 people. No DJ. will have centerpieces (Mums) and favors (CDs). the twins will be 2 1/2 months.

We just had a barbeque with immediate family (about 20 people) in the backyard ... nothing fancy.

Re: For those who have christened their babies..
wow, I'm so surprised so many people have the party at a restaurant. I've never been to a christening party at a restaurant or hall. We're having about 40 people- close family & closest friends- at our house with catered food. We could not afford a party for that many people at a restaurant but we prefer a party at our house anyway.

Re: For those who have christened their babies..
Just immediate family for us will be about 100...not including friends. So nothing we have will ever be small. We are most liekly having it at Sunset Harbour.
I would of loved to have a small 50 people restaurant type of christening, but we just cant with the amount of people.
ETA: oops, just realized this was for those who already had the christening..

Re: For those who have christened their babies..
We had a 100 people. since we live in GA. we decided to christen our first child with family. We had a beautiful private ceremony at the child where my sister and I were baptized as well as where I was married. then catered the event at my BIL's club house at his complex. We decorated it and had a wonderful time with family, friends, great food and music. I think no matter what you plan it will be beautiful.

Re: For those who have christened their babies..
We had it at the local Knights of Columbus...great deal on food and open bar...food was delicious!
We didn't have a DJ...we had 16 kids and I threw balloons around on the dance floor and that entertained them for a long time. I also got some crafty projects for Oriental Trading for some of the older kids
