FMU or not?
SO i am starting my OPK tomorrow. Am i supposed to use FMU or wait til later in the day? I will be back home around 3ish tomorrow so should i do it then or in the morning when i wake?

I've been told afternoon is better and that's what I did but I have two friends who got BFP's using FMU

i wouldn't use FMU - LH is metabolized in your system during the day so the surge is better detected later in the day, around 4pm i think it ideal, but i would do a google search to be sure.

Best not to use FMU. Ideal time is b/t 10AM-2PM and you're not supposed to drink too much.

When I was using OPKs, my RE suggested around the 6:00pm time frame.

I do FMU and then in the evening when I get home from work. That has worked fine for me.

Test when you get home from work. I have always gotten my + in the afternoon around 3:30-4

See I thought afternoon. That is what the box says..
But yesterday my RE told me to use in the AM. I am a little bit thinking that it is because if I waited until 3ish then it would be hard to schedule IUI for the next day. But they said def. FMU.

I guess go with ladies and do afternoon, but try to make sure the last urination was about 3-4 hours before.

i always heard between 12-8
also, try not to drink for a few hours before you pee
i would usually stop drinking water around 3 before leaving work; and try not to pee until 5 or 6

Hope this helps!
Follow the manufacturer's instructions about the time to take your OPK. First morning urine is usually not the best for OPKs since your LH surge usually begins in early morning when you are still sleeping and may not be apparent in your first morning urine. If you test in the early morning, you may miss your surge entirely since LH levels may already be reduced by the next morning. Late morning or early afternoon is usually best unless the instructions suggest otherwise.
