first bad docs appt
well i'm 36 weeks tomorrow in a week i gained 3lbs meanwhile the whole pregnancy till this point i only gained 13 doc went to check for the babys heart and he couldn't find it where he was supposed to because the baby is breach on top of that he tells me i have a very odd shaped stomach which was called something that i cant remember so i don't know if he was implying that he wont turn around His main concern tho was the 3lbs and wants to see me back on monday to make sure i didnt gain anymore because then he thinks i could be headed toward preeclampsia

oh no, is there any other reason he thinks pre-e besides the weight gain? Do you have alot of swelling?
I didn't think 3lbs. was bad- I've def gained that and more in a week!
I'm sorry the baby is breach, there's still time maybe it will turn!

i am 33 weeks and between 32-33, I gained FOUR!  I had only gained 13 from 0-32 weeks 
my doctor didnt even mention the weight gain. for me, I think a lot is water retention. i am swollen this week and ive noticed im peeing a LOT more Also, I did eat a HUGE corned beef and cabbage meal the night before .. helllo salt! 
dont stress it ... im sure they checked your urine for protein are are monitoring BP etc

i dont think im very swollen i can tell my feet are a little swollen because my sneakers are tight but they have also been tight since the beginning When i got a pedi last week the girl said oh ur feet are a little swollen but just looking at them u really cant tell
i know i didnt think 3 was alot either one of my pg friends gained 6 in 2 weeks and he doc just made a joke like she ate too much
i hope he turns but i cant imagine him haveing much room in there

nope blood pressure was only 120/70

Oh now, I hope it all works out. The good news is that you are 36 weeks and I believe 37 weeks is considered full term, so even if you have preclampsia and had to deliver early the baby should be absolutely fine!

3lbs is not bad...I gained 5 this week it's all WATER! I never gained that much before. MY feet/legs/hands & arms are so swollen. I was very concerned, but dr said no protein in urine and low BP- 130/70 means I am fine so far.
Hmm, I wonder why he's making such a big deal?

I'm 39 weeks and my BP has been around the same as yours at my weekly appts., I have also gained about the same weight in the same amount of time and my feet are swollen too but my OB doesn't seem concerned at all....maybe yours is just being overly cautious. As long as no other body parts like your face, hands, etc are getting swollen and there is no protein in your urine, I wouldn't start worrying about it too much. As for the baby being breech, there still is time for the baby to turn. Hang in there just a few more weeks to go

I only gained 15 lbs. with my first pregnancy, and I didn't gain a single pound the first 5 months. Most of that weight was put on towards the end, and it was never a concern.
As for the breech, it is a little late, but I've heard of babies turning at 37 weeks. So hang in there....hope everything works out!

If your BP is fine and you have no protein in your urine, I'm not sure why your doctor is worried. A 3 lb weight gain can just be water weight. Most women have some type of swelling especially towards the end. If you don't have any of the other symptoms (high BP, protein in your urine, headaches that don't go away, seeing spots, etc), you shouldn't be worried about pre-eclampsia.

My weight fluctuates more than 3 lbs between when I wake up in the morning and when I go to bed at night! I wouldn't worry too much.

I had the same appt at my 37 week check. This is where they found out my baby was footling breech. This is always hard to find the heart rate on these babies very common. I was very scared at first and then when they confirmed it with a sono the dr said it explains alot. Then each check after that they knew it was breech so it was not as scary. I am sorry I know this is stinky news at the end.
