Feeling frustrated

Just found out a couple of good friends of mine and a relative are all pregnant and their stories are all the same-- we were barely trying or it was an oops. I am happy for them but frustrated for myself Chat Icon I don't want to stress myself out about TTC but were at month 5 and it's happening already. My husband and I have kept the whole ttc thing to ourselves bc it's personal and my parents and family can't wait till we have kids and I don't want them to be disappointed. But I'm wondering if I would feel better if I told my Mom? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry so long and thanks for listening

Re: Feeling frustrated

That is a tricky question but the same thing is going on here well we haven't been trying long but the keeping it on the DL and everyone around us being pregnant feels the same.
I finally told my mom, I mean she is a nurse, a mom and i needed to just go over a few things with her and it felt better just to like get it off my chest..yeah she can be a bit Chat Icon at the wrong times but at least it's in support.

Re: Feeling frustrated

I completely understand. It took me 2 years and in that time the world got PG and I was still trying. I cried a lot in private. Been at events where I held it together until I got in the car and then lost it. Its hard and all I can say is try do let yourself have the "morning time" in private.

My family knew about what I was going through once I took the next step and started drugs and IUIs. I think having a family member to talk to is important. Sometimes our DH just don't understand all we go through.

Re: Feeling frustrated

Yknow, I hear a lot of stories like this and it makes me wonder if people are honestly telling the truth. I mean, ok, they say it "just happened" but how do we really know they werent trying for a while and this is just what they want people to believe? I only say this because when I got my BFP and I told my boss, I said to her , "Yea, it really wasnt planned" only because I didnt want to get into details about us trying blah blah but the fact was that we had been trying for 6 months. I mean, Im sure these things do happen by accident but this is something that always makes me wonder yknow...Ah, guess Im just blabbling Chat Icon I am really sorry you are going through this, its def. not an easy thing....I think you should def. tell your mother if it will make you feel better. I always feel better once I talk to my mom about things... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I always wonder this too. With all we all know about the slim odds of getting pregnant every month and yet it "just happened" for so many people? And why is it the first question people ask when they find out that someone is pregnant "Was that planned?" my response "Does it matter?"

Im really sorry hunChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I'll be honest I would tell my mom that way you have someone else then DH to turn to. IDK if Im the only one but, a lot of my friends and family know we are trying and they are all supportive and no pressure. Not even my MIL who doesnt have any grandkids yet, lol. Im just the type of person who cant hold things in but, everyone is different.
