Re: febrial siezures and high fevers..
DS has not had siezures but he did have high fevers a few weeks ago. His fever got up to 106 and I was sooo scared that he would have a seizure but thankfully he didnt. He was just pretty much lifeless and moaning when his fever was that high.... it was the worse thing I have experienced as a mommy so far!!!!
I am sorry I have no advice or anything but I believe that another mommy on here went through this lst year. Hopefully she will see your post and respond.

Re: febrial siezures and high fevers..
Went through it with DD. It happened in the waiting room at my ped's office. She had a fever, so I brought her in. She was playing in the waiting room and then stopped. She was standing there with a blank stare. I thought she was tired so I picked her up and rocked her while she had her head on my shoulder. I felt something wet on my shoulder. I asked the nurse who was walking by if DD looked okay. The nurse said "yeah she is sleeping" and then all of a sudden she grabbed her from me. DD was foaming from the mouth and started to shake. The doctor yelled that DD was having a febrial seizure. She was grey! Her fever was 106 and they put wet cloths under her armpits and behind her legs. Also over her head. I remember her coming out of the seizure and she was very limp. After a little while her color started to come back. We were rushed to the hospital and by the time the doctor at the hospital saw her, she was back to her normal self. Teh doctor said it is more scary to watch than it is harm to the child. I slept in her room on the floor for a week. I carry motrin with me everywhere I go now. I also give her Motrin the minute she has a fever.
Hugs to you..I know how scary it is! I also couldn't get her seizing out of my mind for weeks.
