Hate high fevers - 104.8!!!

This is the second time in four months DS has run such a high fever and we're always told we just have to wait it out. Just give him Motrin and fluids and rest. Wish there was more I could do for him. I'm so used to this little ball of energy and now he won't even get off the couch. Motrin only lowers the fever a little. I hate this time of year.

you can alternate motrin and tylenol to help bring it down. Keep him in light layers. Cool wash cloths to the axilla (armpits, neck, back of knees and groin area) can also help to bring it down slowly.
