Feather extensions
I got these today and I really like them, it's funny a friend asked me a few weeks ago what I thought of this trend and I said it was too young for me and I would never get them but my stylist had them in today and I really like them. They have a "natural" collection - at a glance it just looks like highlights. Here is the link

Re: Feather extensions
I really like them. I feel too old for them too...however I really think I am going to get one or two at my next hair appointment... just in the back underneath so its not too noticeable

Re: Feather extensions
I really love this look - but does anyone know how to care for it? Do you just wash your hair like normal? What about blow-drying?

Re: Feather extensions
I personally think these are fine if you are 25 and under, otherwise, I can tel you they are the big thing with my 12 year old an dher firends, so you would NEVER see me with one in my hair unless it was all 1 color and looked like a highlight/ You care for them just like you would delicate hair, they come out with time.

The ones I saw at the hair salon are clip in, you them out, they were not extensions.

Re: Feather extensions
I love the way they look but I liken them to cropped tops - they are really only appropriate for teens and models JMO, though... if I was 25 I'd definitely be getting them!

Re: Feather extensions
lol...these are cute, but I wouldn't put them in.
My cousin's daughter just turned 9 this weekend and had a spa party - one of the services was having these feathers put into their hair.
So it's definately a younger trend

Re: Feather extensions
They do seem very young.
I wouldn't do this on a regular basis, but it would be kinda fun for a bach. party or on vacation. How much are the clip-in ones? Are they hard to clip in?
ETA: Okay, now this is weird. They have ones for your pet. I've been guilty of dressing my dog, but this is weird even to me.

ITA. My DD's dancing school teacher has them in her hair... she's 22 - my old self should definitely NOT be rocking the same look as her!

Re: Feather extensions
It reminds me too much of those 1980's feather roach clips I wore as a pre-teen/teenager.

Re: Feather extensions
I went to a wedding yesterday, and I'd say about 3 or 4 women in their late 20s/early 30s had them.
