Extended BFers, when you weaned your DC
how long did it take until they "forgot"/stopped asking to nurse?

A was 16 months. We were only down to 1-2 feedings at that point (morning and night). I don't know if things would have been different if I hadn't gotten pregnant but he just kind of got over it one day and decided he didn't want to nurse anymore.

I was winding the same thing. DD is almost 17 months and is still nursing. I'm thinking of weaning soon but I'm worried of her reaction. Thanks for posting this question....

Exactly the same for us, except Kieran was 15 months.

Yeah, that's definitely not happening...she keeps pointing to my chest
ETA: As much as I'm laughing, I kind of feel bad, so I hope she forgets about it soon.

I was wondering about this too, are you refusing to give boobie or do you use distraction? Somedays she nurses like crazy, 4 or 5 times, other days once or twice, other days not at all...its nuts!

DD was 2, not very long, definitely under a week. She was only nursing 1 sometimes 2 times a day though.

She was only nursing twice a day (morning and night). At night, I am having DH put her to bed until she forgets about it. In the morning, I am saying "no more" (I'm mean, lol). If she is persistent, I distract her with Cheerios.
