I know you can change the date at the church.

Where and when are you looking? Maybe we can help with some other ideas. Otherwise, I am sure you could change the date with the church.

I am looking near Malverne. I can't change the date because they only have one date in April and that is the one I need. I can't do May or March and I can't go into the summer.

I am going to try catering halls now like Coral House, etc. And see what happens. All the KOC, VFW, and Legion Halls are booked because of Communions.

We had DS' Christening at The Maine Maid Inn. It was beautiful. The food was excellent, not typical catering food. The staff was great too and I thought the price was very reasonable. They were flexible and easy to work with.

Allison...I'm not sure how many people you are having, but I just booked Uncle Bacala's Restaurant for my mother's surprise 60th birthday. It's right on Jericho in Garden City Park.

They have a really nice room that holds up to 60 people. I got a GREAT menu (app's, salad, choice of 2 pastas, choice of 3 entrees, dessert, coffee/ tea/ soda)...for $32 pp.

Check it out. The owner is Peter. FM me for details about him.

But the food is AMAZING too. Check it out.

i had DS's christening at cork n board in malverne. it was awesome! the food was great and there was unlimited beer, wine and soda. the place isn't much to look at on the outside, but the owner is so flexible and the price was about $20pp including the alcohol, cake, etc. you get the whole place to yourself and we went early to decorate. i will be having all future parties there.

DS was 6 months when he was Christened.

It can be done later.

They start the end of April and go into May. Most places I called were also booked for May. I had no idea!!

I would have started calling sooner.

We just booked here!!!!! Thank you so so much!! I called soo many places today and every single one of them was booked except Cork n Board. And it is down the block from the church and so close to our house

So funny - I was going to suggest the Cork & Board - my sister actually got married there in 1976 (different name) but thought it wouldn't be fancy enough for your taste!
