emotional tears....
i am sitting here with a lumpy in my throat and tears in my eyes. today i am 35 weeks and its hitting me that i am going to be a mom.
i still get super duper scared of anything going wrong...its my nature...but as the weeks go by...the odds are less i think.
the reason i am weepy is....its hard to believe. here i am...36 years old...and i stillllll feel like an idiot teenager....i rarely cook...i like cheesy movies....yet..i am going to be someone's mother??!!!
i have had some pretty big losses in my life...my parents, relatives, mc's.....and maybe just maybe instead of loss......my life will be bringing in a new life...and that is something that is hard for me to wrap my head around. i am so grateful that it hurts
still probably going to complain and freak out in the next few weeks...but since i had a moment of gratitude i thought i would share it.
ty for listening....and baby boy...mommy is waiting for you!

Oooh, so sweet. It is such an amazing emotional rollercoaster, and once your little boy gets here you are just going to be overwhelmed with the greatest joy you've ever known.

Im so nervous but so excited and we had such a long journey to get here, I know all too well how grateful you feel.

Re: emotional tears....
I was the same way towards the end. Our family was going through so much the last month of my pregnancy and I just felt so grateful to have my baby growing and thriving inside of me. I have had DS for a week now and I still get weepy at least once a day. Sometimes I just look at him and cry at how perfect he is and how lucky i am to have him. I am actually tearing up now just writing this. motherhood really is a beautiful thing and the tears are totally normal.

Re: emotional tears....
OMG I am going through the same thing! I will be sitting in traffic and then bust out in tears thinking how I will be a mom soon! Then I totally panic over the delivery...then cry some more thinking about after the delivery. I am a hot mess. I feel you though!!!

Re: emotional tears....
You'll be an awesome mom no matter what kind of movies you watch or how many nights a week you cook (or don't cook, for that matter ) The fact that you worry is the proof.
Sometimes I get choked up thinking about, not only this baby, but my 5-yr-old and how lucky I am to have her, how perfect she is and how amazing it's been so far to be her mom (usually when she's sleeping and not talking back to me )

Re: emotional tears....
I was like this at the end of my pregnancy with DD. Actually, when i was in labor and about to push for the last few times it hit me like a ton of bricks...omg in a matter of minutes i am going to be a mother. I was never so scared in my life. Then i pushed her out and all of those scared feelings went away and it just felt perfect.
You are going to be a great mom.
