Emma Fractured Her Finger
Her finger got stuck under the kitchen drawer last night when it was closing. It looked nasty, but wasn't bothering her too much. She woke up today and it looked worse. I took her to the ped. this morning and she sent us to the hospital to get x-rays to be sure nothing was broken. Turns out the tip is fractured so they put a splint on it that she has to wear for a week 
So far she hasn't touched the spliint, but I have a feeling it will be coming off when she wakes up.
I have to say, they were great at Stony Brook. She was crying after the x-rays since at that point she was sooo tired. They brought her stuffed animals, made balloons out of rubber gloves and the woman next to us let her watch the DVD player she brought for her 2 year old son who fractured his ankle. Of course their efforts didn't work, she was a monster at that point, but it was nice 
Oh, and on the way home my car said low tire pressure. I get home and realize the pot hole I hit the other day on the service road BENT my rim  Brand new freaking car and I have to buy a new rim now
I guess the day can only get better from here though huh

oh no. look at her finger. it will heal super fast, you will be surprised. my dd got her fingers closed in the door about a month ago. They were just as black and blue and they cleared in a few days.
