Easier Said Than Done

So, after another bfn...everyone keeps telling me that we are not getting preggers bc we are actively "trying" and I am thinking tooooo much etc. etc. etc.

what do u think about that advice? what am i suppose to do with that?

everything in life cannot just be organic...i work days DH works nights....umm a certain amount of planning is just necessary...how exactly does one stop "thinking" about it...seeing as that is the advice/wisdom I keep getting

Ladies help me out here......

that advice is silly and not helpful. the only people who give that advice are people that either aren't/have never TTC, or people who got preg on the first try or by accident.

i mean i agree that stressing over every little thing isnt helpful, but that doesnt mean you just ignore when you ovulate and bam youre pregnant Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ITA! Im over hearing "relax, it will happen when you least expect it" by people who have "accidentally" gotten pregnant multiple times. OVER IT!

Re: Easier Said Than Done

I have heard that advice plenty of times, even from people who knew we were going through fertility treatments Chat Icon It really annoyed me because it was confirmed there was a true physical reason for WHY I could not conceive on my own, and I felt like those comments were minimizing that.

Don't pay attention to any of that.. do what you need to do. I found those comments were 100% made from people who haven't had to struggle to conceive so they just didn't understand. I also heard my share of stories like "my cousin's friend's neighbor tried for years to get pregnant and the moment they stopped trying is when they conceived twins, naturally" Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I always give that advice b/c I do believe in it, but do as I say not as I do! I drove DH and myself crazy with worry and anxiety! Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Easier Said Than Done

Its soooo true..most my friends who keep telling me to relax, stop worrying, and to "just let it happen" all had their children without ttc...they were all "accidents"....so of course they can say that.....

and it hurts bc they keep saying well ur never gonna get preggers like this..u cant try...it just has to happen....so knowone gets preggo when they r trying....WHATEVER!!!!

Re: Easier Said Than Done

Umm... I wouldn't even listen to them.

People said the same thing to me from time to time.

The week right after I got my BFP... I had TWO friends give me this speech!! One went on and on and on and on. I just smiled and giggled through the duration of the whole bit. I knew I already had a BFP but wasn't telling.

Re: Easier Said Than Done

Sometimes people don't realize how the words sound to others. I have said " it will happen " to others before , just to keep positiveChat Icon hope I didn't piss anyone off, but I see that phrase is not helpful , sorry ladies

The "relax" comments , I know are crap , it has nothing to do with getting pregnant

I wish you the best in your TTC journey
