Take the train, and walk there from Penn station. It is not far at all!

I would go by train & just walk from Penn. I work upstairs from Penn & used to eat lunch around there.

If its for a trade show, drive. My dh takes the midtown tunnel and treks accross town. I would not want to depend on a train to get me to something as important as an industry networking event, either.

I agree. Plus in this heat it is not an easy walk. Unfortunately there are no subways going to that area (yet...although I hear they are extending the 7 to the WSRY & putting a station there). Maybe if you go early & get a cab?

Take the train. If I remember correctly its about a 10 minute walk. Not bad at all.

DEFINITELY take the train!! You'd be more likely to get stuck in traffic or not be able to find a parking space and not make it on time than being late due to train delays!

It's on 34th between 11th & 12th, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from Penn Station. You might want to take a cab from Penn, but it'd still be cheaper than trying to park in the area.

Penn Station is probably the easiest way - just hope the weather is not like this week! Javitt's is on 34th & 11th I believe.

Absolutely without a doubt take the train! The walk from Penn is nothing bad at all. If you drive, you will not find a parking spot and you will end up at a pricey garage and have to walk anyway. Not to mention the traffic!

I agree, take the train!!!! Driving into the city is way to stressful. It's a short walk from Penn.

are you going to the gift show?
if you are, they have a free shuttle bus on the 32nd street side of penn station
take the train and the shuttle bus
let's you out right there
it's every 30 min

check to see if the show you are attending has one
many of them do

Take the train unless you are bringing materials for the trade show, then I'd drive in. You can always take a cab from Penn Station if you don't feel up to the walk. The blocks for these avenues are long but totally doable. It's a few blocks away.

I would take the train b/c whenever there is a show it's an arm & a leg to park.

Actually- it does. If its too hot or raining, you can take the M34 bus from Penn Station to 11th Avenue. The Javits Center is right there.
