Dropping a bottle??

I think its time to drop to 3 bottles. DD is 7mths and never finishes her bottles anymore. She was getting 4 8oz.
9a,12p,4p,8p

I don't know which bottle to drop, I am thinking 4p

Here is what the day looks like

up 8:45
bottle
9:30 - bf
11-12 nap
12:15 bottle
1:00 lunch
2:00 - 4:00 nap
4-bottle
6-dinner
8-bottle and bed

Its sad that its always harder when its your own child than someone elses - to know what to do!!

Re: Dropping a bottle??

DS is almost 10 months and is still getting 4 7 oz bottles.

Maybe try putting 7 oz instead of eight.

Re: Dropping a bottle??

DS did the same thing around 9 months. . .his bottles were

7
11
3
7

we now do

7 8oz
12 8oz
3pm yogurt
7 8oz

b/c they still need between 16-24oz (per my ped) each day. I just tried dropping it out one day b/c he literally would take like 4 oz at 11 then 2 oz at 3, it was such a waste. So for him he needed his bottle spread out a little more.

I do opposite

7-bottle
830-bf
nap
12-bottle
130-lunch
nap
3/4- yogurt (however his nap falls)
530-6- dinner
7- bottle

but try it your way first, see what works!

I do bottle at around 8:15, breakfast at 9, lunch at 11:30 then nap, then bottle around 2-2:30, then nap, then dinner around 6-6:30, then bottle around 8 or a little after.

ETA: just realized your dd naps later than mine so this wouldn't work for you, I would do what you said above.

I would move lunch up to 12 and give her a bottle before her afternoon nap around 1:30.
