If you're asking about a white undershirt type onesie, my DDs wore them until they were potty trained at 2. I just always felt like they kept the diaper in place better...idk Maybe it's just the Italian undershirt thingie lol
If you're just talking about a regular top, I mixed it up

I used them as undershirts until the end of last winter, when she was 2.5. She still fit into size 24 months, and I liked that when she raised her arms it would keep her belly and back covered and warm. I won't be using them this winter though, since she's potty trained now, so the snaps would get in the way.

18mo-24mo, but I still like onsies for my 2 year old as undershirts.

I used them until he couldn't fit in them anymore. It was an extra layer in the winter to keep him warm. Now he wears plain white Hanes undershirts in winter for extra warmth under his regular shirts.

DD is 2 and I stopped putting them on her this past summer b/c the extra layer was too warm and bunchy. Now that it's starting to get chilly I'm looking into undershirts for her b/c I hate when her back/belly are exposed.

Not a huge fan. I think around one I stopped putting DD in them.

For those looking for undershirts, Carters does plain, white tanks and tees that are thin.
