Content itself. Just really upsets me that people are choosing physical characteristics about having a child. I mean, I get that not everyone understands or needs to understand anything about IF, but I think its just wrong on so many levels. But especially for those of us who are struggling to have babies, ANY baby, not one that is genetically desireable.

I think it's terrible that this is happening, but the reality is that this is a financially driven country and if there is an opportunity to make money it will be taken.
What this clinic is doing is unquestionably morally wrong, but so is cloning and yet it happens and will continue to grow.
What we have become as a people and what we have learned to accept is very upsetting to me sometimes.

This story was on Good Morning America when I was at the RE this morning. It sparked a conversation between myself and the other 3 people in the waiting room at the time. We were all pretty disgusted by this.
It is unfathomable that people can be so superficial. We all sat there saying how we would be THRILLED to have any baby. Also, having been there, the fact that anyone would go through IVF just for this is absurd. 
People $uck.

Most ethical RE's will not follow down this path. I know that LI IVF will not allow gender selection (DH asked as a joke and got a firm "no" answer).

I friggin can't believe this. I wait too long to even have a baby, medical technology can't get me pregnant because my body is "aging" and they waste money on this research to see what color eyes a kid can have.
I watched the report in the RE's office today after learning that I only have 3 little tiny follies after a week of 600 iu of follistim and 75 iu of Menopur....they just upped me to 150. I am sorry for the negativity, but I have just about have had it with this IF thing...

I would give my right arm to have a baby, regardless of gender. The fact that people are choosing their gender just turns my stomach. I cannot even read the whole article.

You know, when Sarah Palin was running for VP and they showed her family at the convention, I cried at the sight of her perfect little Down's Syndrome baby. I sat on the couch and cried to DH that I would even be happy with a child like him. I just want a child so badly that I will be happy and thankful for anything God gives me.
I can't wait for the chance to love a child of my own.
And then there are these morons choosing eye color... Absolutely disgusting.

I just heard this earlier today... It is disgusting!!! Unreal how people can be so superficial to want to choose every little detail about their child... This is unbelievable and horrible!
