Does the Whole World Smoke? (not cigarettes)
My DH has been trying to hire an administrative assistant and the past 2 women he wanted to hire failed the compay's drug screening for marijuana. What are the chances of that? Call me naive but do that many people smoke?

Yes. So many professionals I know do. A friend of mine was teaching in Jamaica and she lived out on Long Island. Everyday on her way home from school she would sit on the belt parkway and smoke.
I'll never understand that

I know a lot of people that do and if they are going for an interview stop. Once they pass the drug test and they know the company doesnt do random testing they go back to smoking.
I knew I had to be drug tested and I wouldnt even take a tylenol. If you know you are going to interview their is a good chance the company may drug test. Just stop smoking for a little. After you pass and are hired then go back to your after hours habit

I actually had to call a cruise line for a customer that was on medical marijuana. I had to call the cruise line to find out if they had to smoke their medicine in the designated smoking section or could they smoke in their cabin.

We had a woman who tested positive but the company was willing to work with her because they really liked her. They offered her counseling and told her they would retest her in 30 days. Well came 30 days and she knew she was going to get tested and "flushed out her system" she told me she felt like she drank a gallon of water and that she felt her system was fully flushed so she went for the test. She failed again. When she found out she failed again, she quit.

I'm surprised too. Every morning this is someone who smokes as they walk to the train station because I smell it. Every day. I'm sure it's the same person.

I do, not everyday but on occasion with friends and family.. to kick back and laugh our heads off. My parents never made it a big deal... so its not to me. I am a professional/college graduate with a successful career , so are my friends and DH.

This seems like a no brainer to me. If you can't stop long enough to pass a drug test, you either have a serious problem, or you are just a fool.
