We are planning to start in Jan. but I feel like I want to be preggo in Jan...so silly bc I know it can and usually does take time.
I have a regular cycle so most likely I will use OPK's the first month just to see if I am ovulating when I think I am according to the calendars....if it does not work after a cple months I think I will likely try charing, temping etc.
 I think its just a "being in control thing" for me. I just need to know, yknow? my cycles have always been regular this is why I think using OPK will be in my benefit. However, I dont know how my cycle will be once I get off BCP. Hopfully it will return to the way it was before I started BCP. Good luck to you and your plans. Hopfully you get your BFP in January!

I have been doing a LOT of reading on the subject...and all this stuff scares the bejebers out of me.
Temping and smiley and basil and denna plan and..ARRRGGGGGGHHHHH.
AND after reading some answers, there is only (about) a 24 hour window to get prego.
How do people do it???????
I have a sorta plan for when we start. I am already on Folic acid..or at least my multi vitamin has it. When we thing of starting I will go off BCP.
The only REAL plan I have is OPK. That way I know whan im ovulating = time to 
Thats my plan. know when im ovulating and have lots of sex.

The first time I got pregnant I did not do any temping or take any OPK tests. I did keep in mind that I would probably ovulate about 2 weeks after my period but I did not chart anything.
We got lucky and did not have any trouble conceiving.
This time around we are two months into it and I am trying to do the same thing.

We're winging it naturally. I don't understand people that say its a waste of time. I can see from everyone's posts that the temping, OPKs, etc is VERY stressful--and it is known that stress can be harmful when TTC.
In the end if I get pregnant in August or December its not that big of a deal to me. I'd much rather enjoy it than have to worry about 100 things being in place, not BD spontaneously when we want, etc.
